Bat VK75 or Mcintosh MC 402

Looking for some warmth with my JPLab Utopia micro be's
I heard good things about the Bat and I know it would give you that type of sound but never had a tube amp before
kind of skeptical. I have heard the Mac402 will give you that type of sound and has gotten rave reviews also. Any input inmates would be appreciated.

Actually tube amps have output transformers and not autoformers. The difference is in the primary excitation scheme. Overall they are similar - but not the same.

I too would go for the MC402. It will never need any maintenance and will sound awesome with your Bes. Although the MC252 would be plenty of power already.

I own a pair of JM lab Mezzo utopia`s used them with a Mcintosh mc352/ c42 combo. Traded the c42for a BAT vk51se used the mc352 with the vk51se for a year or so . Then traded the mc352 for a BAT vk75se. I have had the BAT vk51se/vk75se for maybe 1 1/2 years. My like is for the BAT hands down it just seemed lacking depth to the music when Mcintosh SS was in my system. David
