Hello,
I was so fortunate to have been able to catch Mike Brecker live a good 15 times so. He was my favorite tenor player and a virtuoso in every sense of the word. He was always modest and had such a kind spirit.
So many great recordings, I guess his first solo recording is closet to my heart because it was released in the period (80's) that I was catching him live.

All the best,
Tom
i like some of the eraly "fusion" period recordings with the brecker brothers playing with david sanborn. my favorite songs are "some skunk funk" and "sneakin' up behind you". the music makes me laugh.
Ghost Rider, don't you mean "Heavy Metal Be-Bop"??
and I agree! "East River" is a killer.
BTW I used to have a few Be-Bop Deluxe albums. Saw them in 1977 I think.
