Anyway, I've been listening to self title, Rumors, and Tusk repeatedly the past 2 years. Can anyone recommend the next step in Fleetwood fandom? I'm not a huge fan of live albums, but will venture in that direction if absolutely necessary, ie Johnny Cash.
Get the live album, "The Dance". It's very good. And if you like Jack Johnson his live album titled "En Concert" from the 2008 Sleep through the static tour is one of the best quality pop recordings I've ever heard.
Before the girls and the pop hits came along,Fleetwood Mac was a great blues band founded by Peter Green. From 1967 to 1969 they were the top blues band in England. If you want to know where their roots are try to find any albums they released on the Blue Horizon label.
There's a good chance that if the OP is into the Stevie Nicks Lindsey Buckingham Fleetwood Mac era, they may not like the older Blues oriented FM records of the Peter Green era.
The only other stellar Stevie, Lindsey era Mac album I can think of would be Tango In The Night.
