subwoofer, Vandersteen 2Wq tolerance
I have filters, the VDS 200K X-2's, but they were for a Moscode 600 amp, not my Hafler 200.  i guess they would be pretty ineffective for a bluetooth connection.

Richard says this wont work at all.  He says "This will not work as the high-pass must be used and the 2Wq must be driven by the same amp driving the main speakers".  So the bluetooth connection to the amp is the problem.

Thanks for the encouraging info.  I did leave a message for Richard V. so I'll see if he confirms all is OK.
Moscode contact info or Kaye Audio Labs
I've not been able to get a response from George Kaye in probably a couple of years now.  I know this is an old post, but it came to mind.
Vandersteen
I'll give you some more info about my set up.  I have a REL B-1 sub (still have the VDS 2wq and loved it, but it was nice to be able to use the REL for stereo and HTS).  Amp is Moscode 600, preamp is Rogue Magnum 66, CD player is Quad CDP-2, TT is...
Fidelity Research FR-64 vs. FR-54
Let me know if you want to part out the Denon.  I need one of the original side screws on the pivot arm.  Years ago when I had the table looked over and a different cartridge installed, it came back with one of the original screws missing and repl...
Fidelity Research FR-64 vs. FR-54
"Goofy" may have been my own creation after reading about the damping design of the Denon.  Maybe I should use "unconventional" instead.  In any event, I can't say I have a specific complaint about the Denon arm.  Perhaps it is as good as its goin...
Tonearm for Luxman PD 441
regarding a tonearm board, I'm not sure how I would attach it to the table.  The spot where the tonearm would attach normally is on a sliding track, so there is seemingly quite a bit of adjustment available to get closer or farther away from the s...
Tonearm for Luxman PD 441
Seems like the Fidelity Research FR 54 is a lot less expensive to buy than FR 64.  Is there much of a difference?  They both seem to be same dimensions, so should work with my PD 441
Insuring audio equipment
Yes, I did contact  my insurance company first.  Their response was to have an appraisal and try to have receipts (the receipt part would be futile, so an appraisal would be better).  Years ago, a bunch of my stuff was stolen in a move across coun...
VPI Scout 2 vs. Luxman PD 441
I was looking at the Luxman PD 441 manual and they list a bunch of tonearms in the same category as the current Denon DA 307.  The Fidelity Research mentioned is a 54 not a 64.  Those seem to be pretty reasonably priced out there.  Anyone think th...
VPI Scout 2 vs. Luxman PD 441
Thanks everyone.  As usual, great info for me to absorb.  I'm going to keep the Luxman and change out the tonearm.  Will try to find one that will not require much adjustment.
VPI Scout 2 vs. Luxman PD 441
For those of you suggesting I keep the Luxman, do I need to spend in the $1,000 range for a better tonearm than the Denon?  A past suggestion has been a Fidelity Research 64S.
Tonearm for Luxman PD 441
Thanks for the heads up.  I wonder how I find options that will fit similarly to the existing Denon arm?  I'd rather not get into chasing down rare and expensive tonearm bases.
Tonearm for Luxman PD 441
Thanks for the advice.  I've never attempted a tonearm mounting before.  Just cartridge changes.  Am I in for a lengthy and confusing process?
