Verdier Graham and Shelter???
I'm using a Benz Micro Ruby 3H 'Open Aire' with my Ikeda. Great sound!
Verdier Graham and Shelter???
You really should consider the Ikeda IT407 (12 inch arm). Pricing is real world compared to many other top quality tonearms (was $2150, but now price is $2400).To me, it has the best quality fit and finish of any arm I've ever examined, including ...
Most Overated Floor Standing Speaker Up to 15KPair
Paradigm S8 most definitely.Within 30 seconds of listening to them, my wife and I were begging the saleman to please stop the pain. Migraine generators for sure. Maybe these are used for sonic torture of Al Qaeda prisoners?
Haven't played my LP's in 20 years - still good?
Not a problem at all...spin away!

Comparison of $11,000 - $15,000 reference speakers
You can buy a used pair of Dynaudio Confidence C4's for under $10K. I just LOVE these speakers! (and so does my wife....high WAF due to styling).
Lots of air= lots of subwoofer

Lots of air= lots of subwoofer
Do you think that this illustrates the importance of the Fletcher-Munson effect? In the old days, there was a 'loudness' button which would increase bass output at low volumes, and to me, this made low volume listening much more enjoyable. Nowaday...
pre-amp with home theatre pass through
The McIntosh C45 is specifically designed with 5.1 pass through capability. I believe it has 2 sets of 6 channels, plus stereo inputs as well.
pre-amp with home theatre pass through
I believe it has what you want.
Dynaudio Confidence C4
I have C4s powered by 500W Mac monoblocks. Don't think that 60W would cut it. Suppose it depends how loud you listen, but I still think that 60W would be marginal at best.
Mcintosh c46
I'm using a C42 with my MC501s. I think the C42 is quite similar to the C46 electronically speaking. In any case, I really like this combo, so I have no doubt that a C46/MC501 pairing would be great. Of course the biggest difference with the C200 ...
Mcintosh C41, any thoughts,compared to c45, c46
I generally concur with the previous poster. I upgraded from a C41 to a C42 in my system. As near as I can tell, the only difference between the 42 and the new 46 is that you get a bigger display and fiberoptic lighting. So you might consider a us...
