Best Christmas Album
Another vote for Wynton and Crescent City.
Looking for great violin CDs in solo.
Second Gslone's Arturo Delmoni recommendation. Lovely, sweet stuff.
Different between Black Mamba and Taipan?
Lamcam,They are the same family -- elapidae -- and both are extremely dangerous, because of their potent neurotoxic and cardiotoxic venom. One is African and the other Australian, of course. If it helps, black mambas are known to be faster.
Supporting Local Audio Stores are we?
A million plus people in the local metropolitan area, but my/our high end store has long since gone to a HT focus. Before that, I bought an LS2B MkII preamp and a Theta Gen IIIa, both as demos, from them, and bought a V100 Mk II on A'gon after aud...
Help needed regarding purchase of Amp Stands.
I have a tube amp that sits on an SRA stand specifically designed for the amp, and it makes a big difference. (My wife immediately concurred, upon hearing it.) I was lucky enough to find it here -- the SRA stands can be a little pricey. I am a sat...

Thiel 3.6's vs. Vandersteen 3 sigs
I recently upgraded from the 2Ce's to the 3A Sigs, and I was astounded at the magnitude of the bass improvement. Turns out I have a significant standing wave problem in my listening room which only became apparent when I put the 3A's in my system....
AMERIAN JAZZ FOUNDATION
Thanks for posting this. One of my nieces works for them too. It's a good day to give, if you can.Happy Thanksgiving, all.David
what are your most favored recordings ?
I agree -- very tough to pick only 5 or to be confident that this 5 is the right 5. That said, I would include, at least:Joseph Flummerfelt and the Westminster Choir "Like as a Hart," for its choral sound and sensibility and because it includes Ed...
