D'Agastino Momentum vs Dartzeel NHB108
Thanks for the responses folks........I ended up getting the Dag, and it's pretty hard to fault.  Obviously a great amp which is very responsive to the gear around it.  I found it to be fantastic with Purist power cords and a tube preamp.  JTinn.....
Dan D'Agostino Momentum with Tube Preamp Anyone?
I have used the Dag Stereo amp with the Coincident Statement preamp as well as the new Backert Labs Rhumba 1.2 Extreme.  Both were killer combos!  I love flipping gear and have had numerous components in 30 years, but, I have no idea where to go a...
Dan D'Agostino Momentum amplifier- which preamp?
I use Coincident Statement pre with my Momentum Stereo amp, all copper cabling and the sound is fantastic through my Tannoy!
Preamp for Dan D'Agostino Momentum monoblock amps
I have the Stereo version and use a Coincident Statement pre and it sounds spectacular.  I did change all my wiring to copper to get there, but what a difference.
BMI Oceanic Statement - for Source or Amps??
I have tried and owned BMI Oceanic on all my components.  I find them to work the best on the front end.........I have found other cables to work better on amps.  That's said, I think it's a must to have at least one in the system, front end.  It ...
Building an audio room - 12x22 - electrical plan?
Just a thought in case it wasn't mentioned....I didn't read the whole thread! Make sure if you are using more than one circuit/breaker on your audio system, that they are on the same phase.
proper Tannoy Canterbury room set up
Picked up some custom made Sablon speaker cable with ground wire, from Mark Cole. Absolutely love the cable. As far as speaker cable goes, as long as I have the Tannoy, I can't see changing these unless Sablon has an ungrade. This cable offers eve...
proper Tannoy Canterbury room set up
Yeah thanks Peterayer, a good suggestion I'm sure! I know he has written a well received book on such, and I have seen his system in pics! Think I will do just that.
proper Tannoy Canterbury room set up
I agree with all the other posts, and backup Kiddman response. I recently purchased the Canterbury GR and am going through the same process as you. My issue (?) in the end was with a "hot" tweeter, not a soft one. I did not and will not be lifting...
Any one here heard the Bmi Oceanic Statement?
Well, full circle we come! Almost a year after my last entry and I am back with a BMI Oceanic! I have been using the Isoclean Supreme Focus as my staple and have had a number of cables through the system to compare with. There is something about t...
Teo XLR
I can understand how someone can say a cable added "weight","body", etc., to their system. Doesn't mean they are using the cable to colour the system, but perhaps the previous cable they used lacked the "weight" or body of the music. It's all very...
How Long Ago Since You Cried Listening To Music?
Great thread that had lots of potential for people to comment on equipement or music that brought out strong emotions within them! Unfortunately it didn't go that way, although some commical responses are here! For me, last week in Vegas at a Celin...

Good upgrade from Levinson 33H's
Hey there Tmsorosk........yes that is interesting! I loved my 33H's. My first real "high end" amp was a classe DR9. I ended up with a pair of them and ran them mono! Loved them, and loved the classic look Classe had back then! I also had a Classe ...
Good upgrade from Levinson 33H's
Thanks Lloydelee21..........some questions you had!! 1. The Stealth Dream I really like. I had Shunyata Orion prior to the Stealth. I have not really tried very many speaker cables compared to other components and wire! I essentially hooked it up ...
