Pioneer PD-65 & Parasound z-dac
I still have two pioneer stable disk pd65's that I use almost every day and they are still looking and working fine. Also have backup pioneer pd59 stable platter in storage as backup if one dies.....I use them with outboard dacs as transports only...
Does Anyone remember
I use pioneer stable platter pd65 and pd59 with outboard dacs and fine them a cheap and high quality way to reduce jitter and cd player noise...I've never had a breakdown of any of these models. Quiet and smoothdla405j
Noticed the Patriot Act's effects on PayPal?
I just closed my PP account last week but was told it would take 4 day to a week....I protested and said I wanted it done now. They asked why and I explained that I thought their ceo was an asshole and that PP would not allow me to support J. Assa...
Decware silver interconnects: anybody heard them?
I have them & use them with Decware amps...I recommend them & feel that they are a high-quality product at a reasonable cost. I find that my system with these interconnects is revealing but smooth, not harsh.
Attn Vinyl lovers - what CD Player do you use?
I like pioneer stable platter design and use pioneer pd-65 and a pd-59 and a rega planet original. All are used as transports with outboard dacs and monarchy dips.
Is there a decent used transport for under $300?
I'm selling two Rotel RDD 980 less than $200 on ebay....I think they sound fine and offer flexibility by changing DACs. I would guess that the design of the Rotel transport is better because of the isolation from parts together in a one box constr...
Who LOVES their under $ 1000 table combination ?
I bought two nice Thorens td-165 and find them better than my rega p3 which is now sold. Also have a Systemdek & Ariston tables...all are suspended design & cost between $100 to $300 with carts so I think you can do better than your Nad. L...
Is analog & vinyl anoying? Is it worht it.
The last 15 years I'm back into stereo and started out then thinking digital cd was the way to go. Now, at age 60+, I've committed to vinyl and feel that it's a superior medium. To my ears vinyl consistently sounds better than digital; my digital ...
Adcom GDA-700 not working
I own two GDA 700s and a 600 ..if you want another 700 let me know...probably be cheaper than fixing it...I only use one and have the other for back up in case it goes bad..Actually I think there are very few moving parts and should be easy to fix...
Adcom GDA-600/700 w/transport OR Rotel RCD-1072?
I have both the adcom gda-600& two adcom-700's and a rotel transport. My experience is that the rotel transport and the adcom dac's are a good combo and the rotel transport with dac is better than the rega planet & the pioneer pd-65 with e...
Music Hall MMF-5: laid back sound?
Bombaywalla said it all...the mmf-5, in my experience, is very system dependent and with the right combo is a great-sounding unit capable of much music. Since I've had the Bombaywalla unit I've used it with many different power amp-solid state and...
Music Hall mmf-5 vs. Rega P3
I have the tweaked "Bombaywalla" mmf-5 (see reviews) and a Rega P3 and there's not much difference in sound...maybe the mmf-5 sounds a little better but the build quality & looks of the rega seem better to me. I should get rid of one ( I also ...
Vinyl, should I take the plunge?
Vinyl is much more fun.....The hunt & search at garage sales & estate sales is wonderful. I finally solved the noise problem after much advice & don't think it's a problem. I have bought only 3 or 4 new albums in the last 3 years and j...
TT interconnects and power cords
I bought a p3 from Audio excellence too & am VERY pleased with it. I e-mailed Ian and asked about an upgrade or ideas about ic's etc. I think amp and/or cartridge change is the way I want to go..have read about the Rega Super elys cart. as a q...
