I just heard the Nautilus 800
Just got back... Looks like the 802's on steriods (a little uglier -maybe it's just the black ash...). Uses dual 10" drivers for bass and has down facing port. Head unit looks like the same but has diff midrange driver somehow...
I just heard the Nautilus 800
Would somebody please share the physical characteristics of the "800"? Does B&W have pictures on there website?Guess I'll go there 'n see...
What's the problem with Sony 777ES SACD?
I agree w/Amwarwick. The boys at Music Direct told me the reason there are no Led Zepplin SACD's is the $12 million fee to "rent" the masters. If Sony were serious, they'd pony up the dough and give us what we want (Beatles, Stones, you know, whit...
looking for the right integrated
Check out the Arcam A85.
Led Zeppelin 2 First pressing
Maybe rock-n-roll is finally going out of style? Lord knows the talent pool dried up long ago (10,000 new bands in the Tower records rack and not a single new "Satisfaction"?) Give up you hacks!!!
Sony 9000ES: DanWright or StanWarren Mod
Does this third party work void the 3 year warranty?
Anyone heard the Toshiba EMI Pink Floyds
Warning: The Toshiba_EMI UmmaGumma outer jacket is larger than a standard CD case and therefore does not fit into my storage cabinet... Surprise!!!
Anyone heard the Toshiba EMI Pink Floyds
Listened to the "UmmaGumma" tonight. As usual, was blown away... The Floyd has always been a carefully recorded group so should you run out and scoop the new ones up?Well, this issue is very strong sonically and certainly very quiet (low noise flo...
What is the best digital cable?
Music Direct is touting the Creative Cable Concepts "Green Hornet" at $299.99. Has true 75 ohm impedance. I haven't heard, however.
ML 39 w/Bryston amp and Thiel 2.3?
Rsuminsby: You devil!
Forget Expensive Gel Absorbers
Yes the so called "brotherhood" of audiophiles apparently ends when the manufacturers/dealers need gas for their Mercedes. $100 for $1 worth of product? No problem! There are plenty of suckers to go around! Keep shoveling! Alright, I know I sound ...
ML 39 w/Bryston amp and Thiel 2.3?
Yes, I most certainly did have a "problem" with my unit which I purchased new from an authorized dealer (consistently voted among the "top 10" in the country by some magazine or other). I contacted the dealer within a day of purchase which is when...
ML 39 w/Bryston amp and Thiel 2.3?
Dude, you misunderstand. My post says something like: "I was satisfied with its sound". This means it sounded good. I complained that if the unit was unplugged, it took a full hour of being unplugged to return to a functional state. This was confi...
Tube Friendly Speakers
These may not be as esoteric as some would like but I think KEF reference series are "just right" for tubes. I'm using the Ref-III.2 with my ARC VT-100 and am extremely satisfied. The Ref series is fairly high output, 90 db give or take, and has a...
ML 39 w/Bryston amp and Thiel 2.3?
This sounds like a great setup! I'd tend to not use the #39 unless you are getting a super deal. I've owned this unit and was satisfied with its sound. It was "tweeky" in the sense that if it ever loses power, a full hour must pass before plugging...
