I think you hit the nail on the head - very impressive bottom end for a monitor (and the RABOS eq is nice) but it can be bright in some rooms.Check Infinity's website for the stands...John

I would not buy the B&K with all the issues users are having with ticks and pops when switching. There are a number of new pre/pros at $2K from Integra, Rotel, Nad and Sherwood...John

Most receivers and pre/pros leave HiRes music analog. Those that convert it to digital normally do so in an attempt to apply some type of bass management. You can usually choose whether or not this conversion occurs - the procedure varies by unit....

I also decided that the Samsung DLP / DVD combo through DVI was the least "compromised" choice out there. After ISF calibration, PQ is stunning. Standard Def sucks on all bigger screens, just a fact of life. The HLN 61 can be found for less than $...

Another vote for Diana Krall, "Live in Paris". The DTS track is great - why can't all concert DVD's be this good?
