Recommendations on stuff to look at for upgrading a 300B SET amp
I've read abut the Elekit amp and am thinking of it or the Bottlehead Kaiju as a next kit option. How was the build experience? I've built several kits and have had good experiences with all including a Bottlehead Smash preamp. 99dB sounds like pr...

Nitewulf, just curious does the Ayre have mono?
Replacement for DeHavilland Ultraverve
Followup-I sent an email to DeHavilland about a mono switch. They asked for a couple of days to try to put a mono switch on one of their shop preamps and emailed back that it was feasible. I sent my Ultraverve to them and it got back quickly with ...

Thanks, good suggestions. I’ve checked out the Herron but haven’t thought of asking DeHavilland about a modification.

Marantz SA-10 arriving Monday!
I have the SA14 and I love it. It rivals or betters my vinyl rig (Amadeus with Dynavector 20, Luxman E1 phono) depending upon the recording but especially with SACDsThe rest of my rig is DeHavilland Ultraverve, Bryston 4BSST, Vandy 3A Sigs.
The longest you have owned any gear?
Bryston 4B-bought used 24 years ago. Now does the duty for my peripheral zone, 4B SST for my main speakers

Just retired and want to get back to vinyl listening
The Luxman looks nice. I have the (now discontinued) Luxman phono stage that I love. I don't know the pin designation on the Luxman balanced connections but they may be different than the US standard that atmasphere mentions above. If you are stil...
