Bryston 28B SST
I would have to disagree with the observation that Levinson gear beats the 28's in every way. My personal experience is just the reverse - I replaced the Levinson 432 monoblocks with the 28BSST's in my system and the latter pair are just so much b...
MSB DAC IV or dCS Paganini
Kops,It is interesting to note the vast disparity in listening experience where the MSB is concerned. But if you have more people auditioning with you and they all came to the same conclusion, then I would go with your conclusion. Guess I'll stick...
PS Perfect wave power cord
Sorry guys, my bad, I guess I was misinformed too.
PS Perfect wave power cord
I just added another 1.5m AC-12 to my system for the U-clock and it is just unbelievable that the U-clock can benefit so much from just a PC upgrade (from an old MIT model). With the dcs Puccini and U-clock powered by the AC-12, the sound of my sy...
MSB DAC IV or dCS Paganini
From the latest issue of Hi-Fi Choice, a British publication, the Paganini stack of transport, DAC, upsampler and Master clock won a most enthusiastic review. It is very unlikely you would go wrong with the Paganini. Have fun!
MSB DAC IV or dCS Paganini
Alfredbac,Were you using your Puccini with the U-clock? If not, you have not optimised the performance of the Puccini. May be cheaper to just get the U-clock and return the MSB if it turns out that the Puccini/U-clock combo sounds just as good if ...

The serial number is on the packaging and will be written down by your local authorised PS dealer on the sales receipt - always keep that receipt or the packaging for future reference. Yes, my AC-12 has the long barrel and that is the real deal.
PS Perfect wave power cord
Jpl208,My local PS authorised dealer warned me that there are a lot of knock-offs in the market and I would suggest that you get only from an authorised dealer in your country. You can look for your local dealer or distributor at the PS Audio webs...
PS Perfect wave power cord
Barrelchief,It is an MIT whose model name I can't remember at this moment but it is a skinny cord with that little black box. I am using it now for the U-clock and might upgrade this to another AC-12 for the U-clock. It goes to show that whatever ...
PS Perfect wave power cord
I have now clocked 300 hours on the AC-12 power cord to the dCS Puccini player and here's my 2 cents' worth. The AC-12 as it sounds now is indeed a most extraordinary power cord. I never expected that my system could improve so much with just one ...
Wadia 381 vs. dcs Puccini vs. EmmLabs CDSA SE
Keisserg,Good point. The Puccini can remain as the DAC for a new solid state memory "transport". But as DAC's go, by that time dCS would have improved its upsampling algorithm to maybe 5x DSD or 44.1kHz x umpteenth power. This hobby is going to be...
PS Perfect wave power cord
I just got the AC-12 for my Puccini player and it fleshes out instruments, adds heft and weight to the gestalt, highs become airier, and midrange more palpable. Very happy with it. Will probably replace my old Shunyatas with AC-12's for all other ...
I think I've made up my mind
Tvad and Madfloyd,I used to have the ARC Ref 3 before I sold it for the dCS Puccini which doubles as a digital pre-amp. It was driving the Bryston 28B SST monoblocks and was certainly dynamic with huge dynamic contrasts. So if it sounds bland or d...
Sonus Faber Cremona/JL F112 VS Sonus Faber Elipsa
Unfortunately, I did not have Mcintosh amps to mate with the Elipsas. The Brystons did not do it for me. So, I guess we are back to the component synergy issues.
Any better DAC then dCS Scarlatti?
Murataltuev,I agree with you. I set my dCS Puccini and U-clock output at 6V as I use it with the digital volume control directly to the power amps. The 2V setting is more for use with an analogue pre-amp. Never been happier. I will try not to list...
