The E-406 is a class A/B integrated amp. Quite powerful but I am not sure if will get the most out of your 801s
Life after ADS
I used ADS L880 from 1984 to 1999. I still enjoy them in my workshop. In 1999 I got Proac 3.8. Love both speakers. I am just now thinking of a change to maybe something more dynamic.
SONIC FRONTIERS LINE 3...TUBES & CAPS upgrade
Chris Johnson is the best person to work on Sonic Frontiers. $60/hr for him is a bargain. You won't save money hiring another "tech" who works cheaper.
Nottingham Ace Spacedeck Tweaks
I have a Spacedeck with the new arm. A Boston Audio carbon mat is a nice improvement. I also have it on a maple block on brass cones instead of the standard plinth

Beatles covers: better than originals?
"Here Comes the Sun", Ritchey Havens. I wouldn't say better, but my favorite Beatles cover.
How is it ? that a tuner smokes the table ???
My Mcintosh MR71 sounds fuller and has better bass than my Spacedeck with Shelter 501.

Rogue M-120 and M-150
I had M-120's and upgraded them to M-150's. I felt the M-150's were better in every way. I drove Proac 3.8's with them with very good results. I tried many amps with these speakers:Classe CA200, Audio Research 100.2, Bells 350A, Accuphase E-406, a...

Yes, I was blowing tubes within a year. I was using EH KT 88's from The Tube Store. I was driving Proac 3.8's which are not a difficult load for these amps.

I had M-150s' for three years and had to re-tube them every year.
