| Eastern Electric's new tube DAC using ESS Sabre?? Could anyone compare the new Wyred DAC 1 with the new EE DAC? They apparently use the same Sabre chip. Do they have similar USB inputs for handling hi-rez digital files? The specs in the EE website are not very explicit to me. Thanks. | |

| tube amp for ProAc Response.. need suggestions I agree with the Audio Research choice. I recently heard a Proac Response D2 with Audio Research separates in an audio store demo room. That setup was fantastic! Especially very realistic bass notes, perfect timbre and soundstaging. | |
| CD Player Under $1.5k With Vinyl Sound I second Rega Apollo, for vinyl-like sound. Older Meridian CD players like 506 or 508 can be obtained under 1K, and they would surprise you. At least, they are fabulous transports. Njoe Tjoeb with 6922 tube output sounds natural as well. | |
