No sound from speakers
First, test that the speakers work. Unplug them from the amp and get a AA battery, and press the negative wire to the negative (flat bottom) of the battery and brush  positive wire to positive (nub) of the battery, you should get a pop sound and t...
Speaker Recommendation: 20K range
@steve59 Sorry, but no, going off the Stereophile measurements, Vienna Acoustics are terrible for the money, way overpriced, just look at his listening window measurement for their Klimt the Kiss speaker, utterly atrocious, not even $100 speakers...

Help Choosing Headphone Amp for Audeze LCD-2
Emotiva A-100, $300 and done. Innerfidelity states 2.4mW into 47ohm to reach 100dB with your speakers, this offers 250mW factory and 8500mW with jumpers! There’s also the Monoprice tube headphone amp/pre with ESS Sabre DAC, which will give 1000m...
Speaker Recommendation: 20K range
First, asking to handle 500W is an almost meaningless request, as a 100dB speaker would need 5W to get as loud as an 80dB speaker with 500W. Most all music is mastered with 3-6dB of headroom above their peaks, meaning their peaks should register s...
Best speakers for $300/pr
The Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 is <$350 shipped and is pretty much unmatched for the price.
'Complete' modern system for $1000
@usery  Yeah, Audiiholics has some superficial measurements of the Denon X3300 (which has the next tier up for Audyssey), and it’s real suffice to for Hi-Fi given the price: 90dB SNR, super linear power output, 2nd order harmonics below 95dB, etc....
'Complete' modern system for $1000
Best would to get a A/V receiver, but factory refurb so you can spend around as much as an Onkyo A-9010 but get more for your dollar. The Denon X1400 is $300 shipped from Accessories4Less. Doesn’t matter that you’d only be doing 2.1, it’s hard to ...
Best Speakers under 1k for me
The Emotiva T2’s are pretty great for the price, they just aren’t everybody’s cup of tea asthetic wise, as they look like studio monitors.
Suggestions for Amp & Preamp or Integrated for my speakers
@rkujan You are seriously overestimating how much you need to spend. Your speakers were $2000, no need to spend $2500 just to play them. The Cambridge Audio DAC is more than enough for your setup, it’s very hard to hear any appreciable benefits ...
XPA-2 - issue - speaker - advice needed !
@tls49   Yeah, since he already has a pair of male-to-male cables.
Damn it
@mrdon  Yeah, nothing inherently wrong with 1st order crossovers, but it does require that both drivers can easily play past the crossover region, so it’s usually more appropriate for speakers that are 3-way or greater. Because, if you cross over ...
Damn it
I would consider the S400 or the Gen 4.    The Gen 4’s gives a lot of info regarding specs, more than most any other company I’ve seen. However, they are using a 1st order crossover between a 1” tweeter and  6.5” woofer, which I can likely assume ...
Suggestions for Amp & Preamp or Integrated for my speakers
For analog/turntable use, Stereophile have an excellent review/measurements for the Outlaw RR1260. So, you could just get an external DAC for your digital sources, the Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 is good for the price.
XPA-2 - issue - speaker - advice needed !
Your Yamaha has a pre-out/main-in feature, which is to allow something like a MiniDSP to be added. Since you connected the Emotiva to the pre-out, the Yamaha’s internal amp is no longer getting a signal. To fix this, simply buy RCA splitters (or m...
