Whats the deal?
For any speaker larger than a bookshelf model I also see them as furniture. They are large. They sit in our homes often in plain view. They have a function. Why not be attractive? Most of want our furniture to be attractive.I have Aerial 7B Speake...
Speaker Width?
I don't think anyone is reading any of the previous posts.
Quiet Enjoyment: right of audiophiles neighbors to NOT be annoyed
I don't know our local laws except that music played out doors that is loud enough for the neighbors to hear inside has to be off by 10:00 pm. My wife is on the board of a facility used for events/weddings and this has been an issue for them befor...
what replaced your Aerial 7B speakers?
adg101, I’m still fairly new at this stuff. What do you mean by dedicated circuits? Do you mean your house wiring?
Soliciting Member Perspectives: Levinson vs Bryston vs Audio Research
I think the original owner of my system was aware of some synergy with Aerial Acoustics, Audio Research and ML. The components seemed to have been carefully selected and matched. My AR LS-16 runs into the Proceed via balanced XLR and drives the Ae...

@oldmandave :"but sadly find that my home geography suffers a severe lack of us"Relatively speaking I think our home planet suffers (maybe not the right word) a severe lack of us.
I give up on new vinyl
I’m not into vinyl but have had two opposite experiences with new vinyl purchases recently.#1: Astral Weeks - Van Morrison. Warner Brothers. 180g. Clear vinyl...not sure why. Sound quality is fine but there is a repeating pop during one of the son...
So do you need music to test the speed of your drivers?
I've heard people talk about speed but I don't know what they're talking about but would like to understand it.
What is your approach to system fine tuning with cables and cords ?
@inna "n80, you never sound like an audiophile"Thank you."You simply don’t get it."I am certain you are correct."and as such this thread cannot possibly concern you." No, it can in a morbid curiosity sort of way. And if it takes the turn that was ...
Whats the deal?
gasbose and glupson....I’m a sucker, I think most tractors are beautiful. I have a Kubota L4400 4wd. It is not a shiny anymore as in the picture below but I still think it is a fine looking machine:http://www.tractorbynet.com/guide/upload/review_p...
What is your approach to system fine tuning with cables and cords ?
"Everything already sounds quite good, no obvious weak links."That's when I'm done.
