Static electricity pulled the rubber mat right off the Turntable! I have a Dual CS-5000 that causes records to amass static. It has a grounded bearing/spindle but that doesn't seem to help. I replaced the stock mat with a Herbie's Excellent mat and this helped some with the static, worked better with the sound... | |
Thorens Turntables I owned the TD-166 MkII. Belt drive, rosewood finish. I sold it and bought a VPI HW-19 Jr. Back then I was selling things in order to justify buying new equipment. I wish I still had that Thorens. The VPI not so much. | |
