Can you make some sense? - Problem Thanks Rccc! Sounds like CA has raised the bar and are offering top performance in their newer cartridges. I will be sure to contact Highendbroker.
Personal amp evolution Tim, Yes once you are audiophile, the curse remains-always. Well, it is nice to have some free time and relax and enjoy life. Me, I have to wait till I retire which is decades away. Things are great with me, still in California, driving a 2002 tri...
Can you make some sense? - Problem Well, it turned out that my Cartridge turned bad. And this being a discontinued cartridge, they don't/can't refurbish. Are there similar sound cartridges to my beloved Clearaudio Insider Reference wood? How does the Clearaudio Goldfinger sound in c...
Can you make some sense? - Problem Thanks for your inputs guys. I will concentrate on re soldering the Left side termination at phono end. Sounds like cartridge still may be still okay (That was my major worry). I will try out Thorman's and Stringreen's suggestions first before und...

Thank You Souchy Yes Indeed Mr Souchy. I, too, am extremely happy owner of the Clearaudio Master Ref/Master TQ1/Everest/Insider Ref Wood set up, that plays like real music, completely contrary to what is said to be CA sound. I, too amd tempted to ADD ( not upgrade...
digital combos, help, EMM labs, MBL, Weiss, Metron You should add Zanden digital to your list of auditions. You might find it and Metronome 'different' sound than the first three in your list. I also found that Same make transport works well with same make DACs.
How do you negotiate a cure for wrong audio view There are some very exotic looking equipment in this YouTube video. Turntable with 5 belts? and then another two belt drive? Can't recognize any of those big speakers and then there is a rack that is 6 ft high on wires! I did recognize Clearaudio ...
Vinyl vs. top-notch digital Here is my perspective based on experience. You pretty much will have to go for top- notch Vinyl also. Not necessarily top-notch price bracket, although you may end up at similar or higher prize bracket than you digital. Top notch Vinyl definitely...
I just don't get PC Audio Steve, Thanks for the clarification.
I just don't get PC Audio I don't either. But then again I have not heard and compared SOA digital Transport/DAC (Say Zanden or Metronome an the like) combo with any music server based set up.My main point why I don't get it: It is well know fact that the better drive mech...
Does anyone out there NOT hear a difference in CD I second Douglas's claim. Differences between entry to mid price to SOA (pricey) digital are audiophile worlds apart. One is good two dimensional wall of gritty sound as compared to other approaching life like presence, three dimensionality and si... |
