So many new TT's at lower price, still better off buying used?
Technics makes a very good turntable.  I purchased an SL-1600MK2 in 1985 that's still going strong and an SL-1200G that I purchased this year.  The 1200G is IMHO an excellent table.  The 1200GR is almost as good.If you can find a good working 1600...
What area or country do you live in ?
Fort Washington, MD in the Washington DC suburbs.
What's in your CDP tonight? the minority report
Absolutely nothing.  I've ripped all of my CDs to an Innous Zenith MKII and haven't looked back.  Having said that, I was listening to Marvin Gaye "What's Going On" today.  Great album on CD, awesome album on vinyl.
Best Tonearm Lifter?
Anyone using a tru-lift with a Technics SL-1200G?
Any experience with Tannoy loudspeakers?
I have Tannoy 8 dcTi from their Definition line.  The Tannoy's are positioned about 3' from the back wall and 3' from each side wall. My room size is 12' wide, 13' long, with 9' ceilings. I use a NAD M12 pre/dac and NAD M22 v2 power amp.  I lis...
Whats your take on a NAD 3020, I truly believe it defined stereo and still does!
I used a NAD 7140 and DCM Time Windows 3’s for a long time.  Now I push the Time Windows with a McIntosh C31V and MC2600 :-).  A bit of overkill but they still sound great.
Brand New Warped albums!
It's not just MD.  I purchased two new Dianna Krall "pressed at RTI 180g 45 RPM audiophile" album sets at the DC Audio Show this summer from Elusive Disc.  One Diana Krall/Live In Paris record had a nasty skip on one side.  I had to pay return shi...
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
@david_ten   200W PS on the way.  Andrew assured me the unit came with a cord compatible with my Liberty DAC.  I was about to buy the Sbooster PS for the Liberty.  Boy, am I happy I waited.Still waiting for the sonicTransporter to ship.  Once I ge...
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
I did looked at the power supplies on the SGC site.  The only one I saw for the  i7 sonictransporter was the 200W version, which seems like overkill for only one device.  Do you know of any other options?
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
@jsqt.   I'm not sure what you are using DSP for if you are not doing upsampling, but it is true that DSD upsampling is the most memory-intensive operation. EQ and headroom probably would not cause as many issues as the upsampling to DSD 64.I wan...
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
Thanks for the offer.  I will certainly do that.  Did you experience any loss of SQ running Core on the sonicTransporter?
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
@david_ten Thanks for the advice.  My MKII has a 2TB SSD, so I ordered a unit without music storage.   I'll keep you posted.
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
@david_ten. I’ll take look.  Thanks.
Innous Zenith MKII and Roon DSP
I’m trying to decide between selling my MKII and buying a MKIII, or keeping the MKII and buying a NUC to host Roon Core.  I’m looking at this NUC that I found on Amazon:Intel NUC NUC7i7BNH Mini PC/HTPC, Intel Dual-Core i7-7567U Upto 4.0GHz, 16GB D...
Innuous Zenith Mk III Arrives Tomorrow
@snackeyp. I’ve had a MKII for about 6 months and just started using Roon.  The MKII has dropouts when I enable DSP.  Are you successfully using DSP with the MKIII?
