Klipsch Forte III--Pleasantly Surprised
The Forte III is an excellent speaker. I only moved on because of the mighty klipschorn. You might consider that route too.Oz
Speed kills....
Horns
Interesting (or not) dilemma
The speakers don't have a bass hump, your room does........
Small dedicated listening rooms
Closet indeed. Don't waste your time and $$$ trying to shoehorn a high end system in there. Do what has been proposed and invest in a very nice headphone rig. 15k wil go a long way in this situation.Oz
Good Achtung Baby CD? I got a bad one.
It's U2, what do you expect. All their recordings suck. And most of the music too......
Anthem getting into two channel with new STR pre-amp-- anyone heard it?
Anthem made a tube preamp in the 90s, the Pre-1. I had one, it was just ok.Oz
Show us your Component Cabinet / Audio Racks!
Hmmmm.....if only an audio discussion board had the provision to insert images directly in posts, wouldn't that be nice?????Oh wait, every other one does..........Oz
Hard to sell my Klipsch Heritage Speakers for a possible Harbeth upgrade.
If your room will support such a venture, find a pair of klipschorns. This will be your endgame speaker.Oz
Monitor Audio Pl 300ii vs. KEF Reference 5
Bo1972,What kind of drugs are you on? Inquiring minds want to know.....Please and thank you.......
What is this odd little box I've been storing for years?
Too bad audiogon won't move out of the dark ages and allow photo uploads......sigh......
Tekton Double Impacts vs the competition....
It's always pretty obvious when the real troll shows up. Thanks for not disappointing.........
Klipsch Forte IIIs vs. Heresy III with a sub
Paging Wolf Garcia! Wolf Garcia to the courtesy phone, please!
What speakers work well against a wall
Klipsch Forte in all versions work well to about six inches from the wall, with the Forte III being the best incarnation. Excellent speaker that belies it's price.Oz
Decware Tori II vs. Line Magnetic 518ia
Thanks for your comment Al. I will be driving a pair of klipschorns, so I don’t think gain will be an issue. Actually the LM has too much gain in my system. I never go beyond the ten o’clock position. But I won’t rule out putting an active preamp ...
Harbeth 30.1 ? The Ultimate Speaker under $5K ?
