A passing of a valued Audiogon member ID "Ferrari"
Very sorry to hear this news.  I bought a few LPs from Ned over the years, and he was always a great guy to deal with.
Anyone else a big fan of Norman Grantz' Pablo Label form the 70's/80's
I own about 3 dozen of them, and the sound in uniformly great.  Norman G. knew what he was doing.

As others have said, store your LPs vertically.  I have a lot of box sets (100s), many from the 60's and 70's, and have always stored them vertically.

Tube Bias VDC EL-34 vs. KT-77 and KT-88
I have a Rogue Cronus Magnum, and the recommended bias value for everything from EL-34 to KT-120 is .35.  There is a 30 minute warm-up period recommended before fine tuning the bias, and when going from KT-120 to a lower powered tube Rogue advises...
Radio personalities
Miles Willis formerly with KPFT (90.1) in Houston.  He produced and hosted a truly outstanding jazz program ("Milestones") from 6 to 9 pm on Saturdays for many years.  Then he left the city and moved on to D.C.At the time KPFT's analog signal was ...
If you like Schubert...
Sublime sums up the Schubert trios quite well.  My favorite performance is by Rubinstein/Szeryng/Fournier on an early 70's RCA box set - ARL2-0731.  In spite of the thin "Dyna-Flap" vinyl, the sound is superb as are the performances.
Are you Sirius?
rodman -I subscribe to Sirius/XM and listen in my car.  For listening to FM radio in my home system I have an inexpensive Grace internet tuner.  I tune into to stations such as WDCB (Chicago) and KKJZ (Newport Beach CA) for jazz.  The fidelity is ...
