Butler TDB 5150 Amp -- Anyone hear this yet?
This rectifier cooling upgrade, is there a specific reason for needing this done? From what BK has told me, these hybrid tube amps are practically bulletproof. With my 3150's, I'm only running 3 channels off my transformer instead of 5, less stres...

Damping Vibration - Friend or Foe?
Barry, I went to your website and not only found your same little story posted here but also the "facts" that better explain dampening vs cones much more clearly. Wish I had gone there first before posting here. But your FAQ offers an abundance of...
Damping Vibration - Friend or Foe?
Unfortunately John, your "short" story does little for the arguement between dampening vs. coupling, both of which I do in my system, sometimes at the same time. An example of this would be my Sunfire TG3 processor. I have your Isonodes under the ...
Vibration control, hardwood floor, subwoofer.
What I did for my Velodyne on a suspended hardwood floor was to spike the sub and have it setting on a 2' square slab of slate. I have those $10/4 cork&rubber square blocks under the slate to isolate the it from the floor and obsorb the vibrat...
Butler TDB 5150 Amp -- Anyone hear this yet?
Paltomare, how about an update on your buzzing Butler? Cause? Cure? Your first and ONLY post on the first day of joining A'gon? Lots of questons here. The only answer I have is your "detailed and dynamic" description of the 150wpc@8ohms Butler tub...
A good Budget CDp
I just grabbed up a used Music Hall CD-25 for $325 and had a LClock XO 3 upgrade done to it by ASi. This CDP is an excellent player to be upgraded with if so desired down the road. Regards, Robin
Butler TDB 5150 Amp -- Anyone hear this yet?
I have 2 Butler 3150 amps which is the same as the 5150 but I needed 6 channels, not 5. The Butler amps are fantastic. I'm surprised that more isn't said about this amp as it's very detailed and dynamic. And at 150 wpc, these amps have all the dyn...
What does Holographic mean to you?
Bob Carver's Sunfire Theater Grand 3's holographic feature has gotten a lot better than yesteryear and is one of the main drawing cards to his current Sunfire receiver/processor. The sweet spot just got bigger and the 3D projection wider thanks to...
BPT 3.5 with MF TriVista 300 Integrated
I have 2 Butler 3150's plugged into my BPT BP2.5 and they LOVE IT. In fact, everything in my system is plugged into my balanced power conditioner and everything benefits from the lack of ground noise and with NO LACK of dynamics. Different strokes...
Balanced Power and Voltage Regulators- Thoughts
Likewise as Sutts, but I wish I had the BPT Signature instead of my maxxed out modded BP2.5. :D Regards, Robin
Spiking a Velodyne HGS18 II
I installed Ed Soler's stainless steel cones under my Velodyne CT-100 and placed it on a slab of marble. This really tightened up the bass and I get better projection thruout the room than with nothing at all underneath. Regards, Robin
Verdict on Pure Note, Ridge Street w solid state ?
Hi Darrylhifi, I stand firmly in the Ridge Street camp. I've ownd Robert's MSE gen11 series of IC's, speaker cables and digital cables for over 2 months now. These cables are outstanding in transmitting a balanced full range signal that will only ...
Review: Symphonic Line Legato Speaker
You know, I could have sworn that I was reading a review on my Odyssey Audio Lorelei's that I just recently purchased. Just a totally capitivating loudspeaker that's very emotionally involving to listen to.. And affordable, thanks to Klaus Bunge! ...
Any Comments On Bright Star's Isonodes?
I have both vibrapods and Isonodes, I prefer the Isonodes. I just feel they do a better job, acting like sponges to obsorb vibrations. I have them under the glass platform supporting my Sunfire Theater Grand 3 processor and I like the way their sq...
