Dealers hijacking the discussions
@inna ,I'm not sure why you feel the need to be so inflammatory in your response, especially considering that I'm not even one of the dealers under fire here (I don't post much on these forums, to sell or otherwise - too busy). I was simply trying...
Dealers hijacking the discussions
As a consumer, I can certainly understand the OP's sentiment, but as a business owner and vendor here on Audiogon, I also have to see things from the point of view of someone who spends a lot of money to be a part of this community and wants to re...
Got the upgrade itch, fellow audiofiles!
@Audiofire:Did you ever make a decision on what you'd like to do?
My personal review and experience with Arcam AVR 550 with Dirac Live
Glad you’re enjoying your AVR550! Out of all the brands that we carry, Arcam is one of our best sellers - their current lineup with Dirac Live is tough to beat. Let me know if you need any support with your unit or if you would like to add more Ar...
Got the upgrade itch, fellow audiofiles!
I would probably start with upgrading your sub as the above poster recommended - that's definitely a weak spot in your system. As far as processing and amplification are concerned, there are lots of great options out there. PM me if you would like...
which receiver new $1k or under
I think in that price range, I'd recommend either the Yamaha RX-A1070, the Onkyo TX-RZ820, or the Marantz SR6011. These are all just slightly north of your 1k budget, but not by much, and give you a lot of performance for the dollar.
Component recommendations: best bang for buck.
Hi guys, I’m actually the vendor that contacted the OP and recommended Arcam over Krell, and I’d like to chime in to clarify a couple of things that were misstated. As the owner of a successful A/V integration company based in Atlanta, I have buil...
Craigslist transaction went south...
As many others have said, just give him his money back and be done with it. The threat of taking legal action is just silly, as he would spend far more money fighting you in court that what his reimbursement would be, so I wouldn't stress over it ...
How to hook up a subwoofer with an integrated amp?
Sunfire subs would also be a good option in/near that price range.
2017 Honest Cabling that doesn’t promote bankruptcy
My recommendation is to simply do your research and choose cables that are well-reviewed by reputable sources and fit within your budget. I own an A/V integration company in Atlanta, GA and typically use AudioQuest in most of our projects and have...
whats the very best sounding cables for realistic money
I'd suggest mid-level AudioQuest cables like the Rocket series, or if you are willing to spend a little more, the Castlerocks are a great option as well...
Amp recommendations
Hi Chuck,Have you considered the Arcam A49? It's their flagship 2ch integrated and features some of the cleanest, most powerful amplification around via their Class G topology, which runs in pure Class A for the first 50 watts of power with A/B po...
Surround Processor / Pre Amp / 3D Sound Field
@audioman,I think that based what you are describing, the issue has less to do with needing better DSP modes such as "3D" and more to do with one of the following: the class and output of your amplifiers, how you might have the processor set up, a...
Need Wireless Subwoofer Options
Hi Treebeard,As others already mentioned, there are wireless kits from various manufacturers (niles, sunfire, etc.) that you can use with virtually any sub, so that may well be a better option than trying to find a dedicated wireless sub as you’ll...
Cables for Focal 1008be2
First off, great choice on the Focal speakers - they make an excellent product. If you're looking for a good set of speaker cables to connect them, AudioQuest's Rocket 33 is a very solid cable that's right in your target budget with a retail price...
