Downsizing Speakers in Main Listening Room - Your Feedback on Some options

Stringreen - I had an extremely similar experience. Ayre setup with PSB Syncrony 1 speakers - and could just not like the Cardas Golden Ref, As you said Ayre even has them made to match with them. I guess all in the "ears" of the listener -
PS Audio DLIII DAC Inverts Absolute Polarity
Thank you both for a very informative discussion, however some of these proposed changes are a bit beyond my comfort zone. However, given the feedback on the sound quality after the change I am very interested in investigating further. So my setup...

Best Amplifier at $3000 for PSB or VA

It's all over now, baby blue. Or is it not?
One practical choice I made when kids wee that age (as well as a general organization change) was to leave the plastic jewel boxes behind. I moved all my CDs to binders with CD pages - includes liner/artwork and my whole collection can sit on a hi...
Fidelizer
Has anyone had a problem with Fidelizer fully starting up? I downloaded fine, run the application, can choose the settings (Extreme, Audiophile ), and then I even see some of the status screens while it is checking my Windows 7 settings. However, ...
PC audio with USB DAC
Steve N.,Reading your summary above, the only items that is not clear to me is the digital cable length. I am having difficulty seeing where a 1.5M cable is more efficient then a .5 M cable in delivery digital content. I am open to the argument bu...
DAC suggestion for Win PC and Headphone/amp
Marakanetz,I actually only need a DAC - the Bryston BHA1 is a first tier dedicated headphone amp - just no DAC. In fact some of my limitation is that the Grado and Bryston both use balanced XLR cable connections between headphone and amp. So I am ...
