What's the weak link in my system?
Did you remove the power conditioning?  If so, what were the results?  If not, why?
Vibration Issues / Turntable Decisions
Wall rack all the way. I built a custom one that extends farther out into room, cut the back of my stereo cabinet out and the turntable looks like it is on a cabinet shelf but it is actually just above it. See my system page for a picture.
Do I have to spend $4000 plus to get a better sounding speaker than GET model 7 ?
I love my ProAc Studio 148 floor standers, which were just over $3000 and use the same tweeter as the Response line.  Too bad they stopped making them.  ProAc Studio 140 mkI are the same speaker without the phase plug.
Tekton Speakers,Who owns them and what did you replace and why.
I had Tekton 6.5t monitors (like totems) on rigid yet minimal sound organization Linn stands in front of audio refinement separates and a modified rega RP6. I liked them better than Fritz carbon monitors and Ascend Sierra Towers. They imaged well ...
What's the weak link in my system?
Did you try eliminating the power conditioner from the system?
What's the weak link in my system?
Every power conditioner I've tried has killed dynamics and openness in my system except the Emotiva CMX-2 DC Blocker and Filter. I've tried Furman, PS Audio, UPS units and a DYI one. The CMX- blocks most of the DC on my line and all of my sources ...
Furukawa power cables
Try the Signal Cable MagicPower cables for less than $100 shipped and made in the USA.  I love mine on all my source components and preamps.
Best Budget RCA cables
I like these if you can afford about $80 / pair USD plus shipping.https://www.takefiveaudio.com/products/1358-mogami-2549-gold-performance-rca-deep-cryo-treated/I also have the same Mogami 2549 wire with KLEI Copper Harmony RCA terminators.
Low noise, neutral, high current power cord for wall to power distributor
I really like the Signal Cable MagicPower cables.  Great price and you can return it within 30 days for a personal trial...
Need suggestions please! Electrical noise in my system and it's driving me crazy!
@gdhal, glad the CMX-2 worked for you also. I’ve tried furman, a custom made DC blocker, PS Audio humbuster and upc-200, plus others. PS Audio helped cut the DC hum but all killed dynamics except the CMX-2.
Need suggestions please! Electrical noise in my system and it's driving me crazy!
I've fought DC transformer hum since I've moved into my house 7 years ago with 3 different preamps and multiple conditioners / filters. The only one that I found to help the DC situation without killing system dynamics is the Emotiva CMX-2 DC Bloc...
We've owned B&W speakers since late 80's
@oldtonew2112, how did you do with the insurance company and the payout on the incident? It seems like there was just a thread discussing whether we need additional coverage for media and equipment or should our general homeowners policy cover eve...
Which amplifier (integrated) would you recommend for Monitor Audio PL speakers
I have the following for sale with many great reviews. Audio Refinement / YBA gear has that warm yet defined sound you are looking for:http://www.usaudiomart.com/details/649335001-seattle-audio-refinement-complete-system-tekton-65t-lin...Will sell...
Line Conditioner - Small (3 outlets or less)
@mjmch2003, no real sonic improvements as I have good stuff upstream (see system details). It did help eliminate DC coming in from the power company's main line.
Line Conditioner - Small (3 outlets or less)
I really like the Emotiva CMX-2 DC Blocker and Line Filter that I use.  First DC blocker that didn't hurt dynamics in my system and helped removed DC from my mains line.  Nice price also...
