Reviews: Monster Power AVS 2000
I have experience with HTPS 3600 plugged in AVS 2000. Not bad but could not stand the noise it generated once in awhile - don't know why. I replaced them both with BPT 3.5 Signature Power conditioner and was amazed by the positive effect it made t...
Which cd player: New /w Mod or just plain new?
I am very curious about the mods myself. If it is that good why don't manufacturers like Denon or Sony jump on it and make mass production out of it - they would be making killing money considering the popularity here on audiogon.

shipping speakers
I once shipped a pair of Vienna Acoustics speakers (factory boxes) 300 miles away. The shipper completely destroyed them. I filed claims on buyer's behalf and got the money back after 3 months later. That's the reason why I drove 600 miles to pick...

Nero: Normalize audio tracks ?
I was curious about this myself awhile back. So I open two wave files with great volume differences. I then burned the two tracks for standard cd playback - the sounds were much more compressed and not listenable. I then ripped the two track into ...
Why so many amplifiers for sale?
I am also noticing a lot lately many gears are up for sales and just make me wonder what everyone is upgrading to. I can only think that many audiophiles are dealers or salesmen - they get deep discount - upto 75% off retail. Therefore they have t...

Fun trying new power conditioners-long
Just curious if anyone has tried the BPT 3.5 Signature or Signature Plus. It is a very good conditioner - my system was transformed with this conditioner on the front ends. I would like to get feedback on how it compare with the Hydra 8 and others.
Source for low cost redbook CDs
I currently have 14 CDs on Ebay Auction myself. I also have few titles advertise here on Audigon - great used price. I normally go to www.cduniverse.com for sample clips.
Watt/Puppy owners...help busted binding post...
I have the Sophias. The binding posts are very close to each other and the only way to attach speaker spade is to use the wrench. I have not twisted one off but worry that one day it will happen. I am very carefully every time I have to connect.
Krell KPS 25 or Krell KPS 28
If you end up with KPS-28c and KCT combo, make sure you use Transparent Cast. It is like night and day on my setup compare with the Krell CAST.
Solution to a ground loop problem
I had the same problem at one time. I disconnected everything and then carefully reconnected - hum went away. Try it - hope this works for you like it did for me.
