Nuforce STA200
The Sys is so cheap that I went ahead and bought a second to have both a dual mono setup and also to be able to control the balance.  It really widened and opened the soundstage up using two instead of one.I've got a Saga too, but as hard as I try...
TAS for sale
I've got an almost full set going back from the beginning until sometime around 1993 or 1994 I think.  If anyone wants them, they are free but you have to pick all of them up.
Budget SS integrated with great timing and immediacy up to 2k used?
You might like the Rega Brio.  I've heard a lot of ss amps in my system and that one came to mind when reading your requirements.
Schiit not shipping
My experience with the Saga is interesting.  I first bought the little cheap passive Sys just for fun.  I put it in my system and was really really impressed.  I thought, if this Sys is so good, then the Saga must be unreal.  I picked one up and g...
Which material sounds better for speakers construction? Wood, Ply or MDF?
ho ho ho..ebm doesn’t think his speakers ring.  This is very important!   😉
Yanni or Laurel?
I get more of a Yanmi.  For the life of me, I can't pick out Laurel though.
Why Aren't More Speaker Designers Building Augmented Widebanders?
I thought the exact same thing after I converted to single/wideband driver designs  I think the main reason is the ragged frequency response and the marketing issues this introduces.  Buyers and manufacturers want to be able to justify their produ...
Omega single driver speakers
It's all going to depend on your personal preferences, the size of your room and your listening style.16x40 is a pretty big room.  Unless you sit and listen nearfield, I'm not sure that a single driver speaker is your best option.  Even though you...
Decware and SET Low Power Tube Amps with Hi Efficency Speakers
I tried both my little Zen and Mini Torii amps on my little Harbeth P3ESR’s. While the Zen actually drove them better than the Mini Torii did, both sounded exactly like Larry described. Not something that I think anyone would want to live with. As...
Decware and SET Low Power Tube Amps with Hi Efficency Speakers
With the low powered high efficiency approach, it's all about synergy.  I have a Decware Zen that sounds fabulous with my single driver Omegas.  Up until I bought some Quicksilver Horn Mono's, it bested everything I threw at it including a custom ...
A Budget Amp Comparison
I’ve got a Brio and a Nuprime STA-9 that I play with in a second system.  I’ve played each with at least close to a dozen speakers.  More often than not I prefer the Brio.  The Nuprime just seems to lack a little life to it.  It’s a very inoffensi...
Anyone lives in Maryland and surrounding areas would let me audition your Tekton speakers?
I believe Linear Tube Audio in Takoma Park has some Tektons you could audition.  Give them a call.
NUPRIME STA-9 Class A+D Stereo Amp
I’ve got one that I rotate in and out of a second system.  It’s got a sort “soft” sound to it.  They advertise it as sounding like tubes, but it doesn’t really sound like my tube amps.  If you have bright components elsewhere in your system it wou...
Which Budget Speakers, Tekton or Omega?
I guess I would say a concentric is a design that attempts to do what a Single Driver speaker does.  The 6.5" Omega speaker is just a single speaker providing everything that a tweeter and woofer do.  The Whizzer cone (which is just part of that s...
Which Budget Speakers, Tekton or Omega?
Doesn't a concentric driver actually consist of two separate drivers sort of in the same frame with a crossover too?  The Omega is just one driver covering the whole range with no crossover.
