NAS Storage and Streaming for Hi Def audio, What NAS Hard drive system best for Mac..
I’m basically an analog guy but several years back wanted to get into digital. Went thru a LOT of DAC’s but did use a G-Technology 4TB RAID 2 NAS so it’s always backing the data up. Have never had an issue and even though I still enjoy analog runn...
Merrill Audio ELEMENT 118 on Tour
@mattnshilp   "...is essentially immune to power cords..."  I have to respectfully disagree. I've owned and loved the Veritas and THOR amps and they very much respond to after market AC cords for the better and not by a small margin. Now I've had ...
A Night with three phono stages Allnic 1202, ANK and GoldNote PH10
A small update to the PH-10 was announced to me as follows:“A much-improved solution we will introduce in all PH10 productions beginning 1st of February 2019 that will reduce the noise by 12dB in the MC set-up to be as quiet as the MM set-up”! Unf...
Electrostatic Speakers
I’ve been an electrostatic guy for many, many years going back and forth with panels and conventional speakers over 35 years. Had the original ML CLX (had no bass but boy a midrange to cry over) and then Sequels and Sequel II. Just couldn’t get th...
OPINIONS PLEASE - Phonostage for new Rega P8/Apheta 2 - Sutherland 20/20 or Allnic 1201
Have to agree with @edwyun that using a step-up in front of a tube phono stage is the way to go but this adds a lot of $$$ to the equation not only for the SUT but another cable as well.
American Made Audio Unveils New Site For Made in USA Components

Review Purist Audio Design Limited Edition Part2
It's been over 2 years since I responded to this thread and had always enjoyed PAD cables but like stringreen I've also moved on. To my tastes now S.I.N. Audio cables and Audiomica Labs suite my system better. More definition, more realistic, more...
Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
Panamera 4 with active air suspension...couldn't be happier!
What time do you wear?
I wear an MIH (Musée International d'Horlogerie) as a daily wearer. It's an annual calendar with only 9 moving parts. Do a google search, very simple watch but extremely rare and unusual.
How good is the Lector CD player?
Audiobuzz... I know 6 other Lector owners all without one hiccup! Maybe in the past there was an issue with a unit or two but recently I've heard of not one problem. :-)I enjoyed my Lector, again, it is a musical player but DARK sounding.
How good is the Lector CD player?
I had the Lector and then bought a Stibbert and Droplet CDP. The Stibbert is in another class altogether, more open and transparent and just plain more musical. The Droplet is not as detailed as the Lector BUT is a more musical player IMO and it's...
Cable Costs Relative to System
I'll throw-in my 2 cents worth (maybe it's already been said, I didn't read all 135 responses up to this point!). Power cords can make or break a system IMHO. Some cords that come with your components are fine as is (i.e.: Audio Note Japan pre-amp...
Bluenote Stibbert vs. Electrocompaniet 1-UP
I can't tell you the differences between the Stibbert vs. EC but I can tell you the differences between the Lector 7Ti and new tubed Stibbert. The Lector is a musical player, that's it. It is DARK sounding and a bit slow. The new improved tubed St...
Anyone have experience with the Nanotec Nespa?
Norm,It's fine we don't agree on everything, we all hear different things and we all have different priorities what we listen for. There are several people who feel the RC duplicator is better than the Cool Copy but there MANY more who feel the CC...
Anyone have experience with the Nanotec Nespa?
I can say that the cleaning of the original disc with either cleaner is essential to get the best sound. Also cleaning a blank BLACK CDR before duplicating is also a MUST to get the best possible sound. To not clean a blacn black CDR before copyin...
