Low/Mid price cartridge for Origin Live Conqueror 12"
chakster, have you tried the M20E? As much as I love the 20FL I much prefer the E, just beautiful.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
fleib, thanks for this. All of the old Ortofon spec sheets and marketing materials that I've seen list the 20FL and 20E as 20 cu and 40 cu respectively.

Thanks f. I went ahead and purchased the arm I was considering. It has never been mounted so I am optimistic that it's ok. I had considered the Unitrac but was scared off by some talk of a burr that was causing wire fraying. Others reported no iss...

Has anybody had experience with a SME III tonearm? I am thinking of trying one with my M20E and TK7LCa.

Speaker Placement
Try the Cardas calculator. It will put the speakers much further into the room but I bet you will get a much improved soundstage.
Has anyone recently had any slow response with Sound-Smith repairs
4 months for warranty work does not sound right. In the other thread, Peter mentions that he will prioritize rebuilds of his own cartridges and shoots for a 2 - 6 week turn around. That's a rebuild, george99sa is talking about a warranty job. I wo...
