| I need some advise on a shipping disaster. If you used a credit card, just wipe out the transaction with a phone call to your bank. I suspect that 1 speaker is worth way less than the 2 you contracted for. Can you even replace just one speaker of that type? | |
| Sound of cables breaking in? What I found is that from the first 1/2 hr or so, the cables have a particular sound. The cables then get worse for a while and then return to the original sound. | |

I guess almost everything......Ayre V1, Ayre K1 (with all the mods) Ayre C5xemp, VPI Superscoutmaster rim drive, Classic platter (new) 3D arm (new), 2nd pivot (new), Ortofon Winfield (newish), Vandersteen 5A speakers. ...and still making music. | |
| Technics 1200g vs Rega rp8, VPI aries, avenger, Basis 2000, Linn LP12 etc. Can it compete? They are all fine tables....I would choose the VPI because of its great customer service and the belief the company will be there for as long as I would need them. | |

| advice for my clear audio analogue upgrade path DH - there is no way your path can lead to satisfaction....only a depleted wallet. Wait until you can afford what you want and then forget upgrading.....just enjoy. |
