Odyssey owners chime in
I purchased Stratos monos about 18 years ago and they ran flawlessly until a particular bad power surge that got one of them.  I sent them in to Klaus to be repaired and then he gave me such a great deal on new Kismet monos with upgrades that I we...
Soundlab Speakers - Budget Amp Suggestions
One thing I forgot to mention, every SS amp I have ever used with my SoundLabs has heated up a lot when I have done a lot of listening until I got the Odyssey amps. They barely get warm to the touch with my normal listening. I will tell you that t...
Soundlab Speakers - Budget Amp Suggestions
Bass response was one of the things that surprised me the most when I went to the Odyssey monos. It seemed to me that they handled the panel better than my old amps. I initially bought my SLabs from a long time SL dealer and he actually was the on...
Soundlab Speakers - Budget Amp Suggestions
I have been using Odyssey mono blocks on SoundLab speakers for years. I too have college bills coming in and can't afford to consider upgrading much of anything at this time. The Odyssey's have been amazing. I have never regretted purchasing them....

What sounds more musical than audionote equipment
Some of the best sound I have heard was a complete AN system except the speakers which were Zingali. Very impressive for me as I have never cared for horn speakers until I heard the Zingali speakers. Paired with the AN front end it was very musica...
Best amps to use with Sound Lab speakers
I just recently heard the new Wolcott P400 reference gold 400 watt monos on a pair of SL speakers and was amazed at how much more the speaker put out compared to the 220s. If you are in the market I would give them a serious listen.
How's this for a dose of reality???
Sounds a bit like Mr. Richard Hardesty.

What's the oldest piece of gear in your system?
A Kenwood tuner that still works great from the 70s.
Who has experience shipping large speakers?
I shipped a SoundLab speaker crated in a 3/4 plywood by Bax. It weighed in at about what your speakers weigh and cost less than $100. The only problem I had was that they said they wouldn't take a shipment from a private individual, buinesses only...

Anyone ever have claims for damage with UPS?
If you know that you packed it correctly, submited all the required paperwork, and they still deny your claim, take them to small claims court. Small claims court is a hassle for them and if they don't show up you could win by default. In the past...
