Best KEF LS50 Wireless connection to Node2?
I don't believe the LS50w's DAC does MQA, so if you use the digital out from the Node 2 you're only going to get the first unfold, you need the to use the Node 2's DAC to get the second unfold and hook up via analog, if that matters to you.
Spatial vs Pure Audio Project
@lowrider57 Wow, that's quite the review, he has me considering buying a pair now!  I wish they'd had a pair of their M3s or M4s at the show, as the pricing on those models is quite a bit more accessible than the X2.  The X2 also loses a woofer, a...
Spatial vs Pure Audio Project
I heard the PAP Trio15s both with the Tang Band full range driver and the horn-loaded (Beyma I believe?) compression driver as well as the Spatial X2s at Axpona.  Of the three the PAP with the horn was my favorite, followed by the X2, with the PAP...

The definitive book on loudspeaker and room interaction is this one by Floyd Toole, recently updated to a third edition. https://www.amazon.com/Sound-Reproduction-Psychoacoustics-Loudspeakers-Engineering/dp/113892136X/ref...

I keep forgetting that Tidal has some pretty solid curated playlists.  I’m enjoying one now that’s a collection of music from Wes Anderson’s films.
Best Rocking Speakers 15K and Under
The Revel F228Be should be on your list.  During the demo I sat in at Axpona they played everything from light female-vocal centered jazz to Rammstein and they didn't miss a beat with any of it, great detail and subtlety with the light stuff, rock...
Surprised
I'm a big fan of adding subwoofers for music listening.  Unless you have a big space and a big budget most unpowered towers can't manage more than the mid-30hz region before rolling off hard, and even then you're using almost all of your amp's pow...
Streaming Music and being able to keep them as your personel files
@dweller Sure, that's not fundamentally different from using the tape loop with a tape recorder back in the old days to record from a turntable or a tuner.  You're not going to end up with a bit-perfect copy of the original though, and it's not go...
Sellers and "Ambiguity" or "Integrity" of "item as described" descriptions on eBay
I don’t buy/bid-on an item unless there are detailed photos showing all angles, and don’t assume any accessories come with it unless explicitly stated or shown in the photos. Unfortunately there are many listings, both here and on eBay, with profo...

onkyo RZ...anybody?
How much of the weight savings can be attributed to moving towards switch mode power supplies and class D amps?  In those cases lighter doesn’t mean lower quality, you just don’t need a heavy toroidal power supply and massive heat sinks to cool in...

Streaming Music and being able to keep them as your personel files
@dweller Sure, you could do that, but you'd have to time the track breaks just right, then you have to convert what will probably be a raw .WAV file into something more usable, input all of the metadata manually for each track, and go through a lo...
Why is Oppo stopping products.
@prpixel The Apple TV can decode CD quality audio (16 bit 44.1khz PCM) (and I believe the nVidia shield will as well if the app support it) and at least the nVidia Shield can 'pass through' lossless surround formats (DTS-MA and Dolby TrueHD) thoug...
Streaming Music and being able to keep them as your personel files
The Tidal app on iOS (and I imagine Android, though I've never tried it) allows you to download content to your device to be able to play it locally without an internet connection (such as when you're on a plane).  It does need to periodically aut...
