NAD C 375BEE Integrated Amp Replacement Recommendations
I took my Yamaha A-S1000(90w/ch@8ohms, 140w/ch@4ohms) over to my buddies house where he was performing an RF-7 vs RF-7II vs RF-7III shootout and for fun we used different amplification to add to the mix.  The Yamaha had no problem making all three...
Denon POA-2800 vs. Sony TAN-90ES
Great combo IMO, worth getting them up and active again.Bill
Klipsch!. The worst speaker company, EVER?
See, I never considered the Heresy speakers to be floorstanders or "full range" but more fat and heavy "bookshelf" speakers. With some boundary gain in a small room, they can dig a bit deeper but add a nice, fast, and tight sealed sub to the mix a...
Any 3D Blu Ray Players With USB/OPTICAL Inputs
Cambridge 752 is a fine player, DAC, streamer, etc.Bill
Yamaha A-S3000 Vs Marantz PM-10 (new reference line)
" IMO if you're looking for warm, the Yamaha won't be the answer. I own an as2000 and it is pretty neutral maybe even cool sounding. From what I remember from limited exposure the 3000 is very similar."I am not stating this as fact from personal...
Which speakers for a Yamaha A-S2000
The larger Klipsch Heritage are definitely better with tubes but many, including myself, have found the Heresy models to not be too amplifier picky and as mentioned by @mrdecibel a good clean SS amp, like the Yamaha A-S2000, can pretty much bring ...
Which speakers for a Yamaha A-S2000
@mrdecibel  said,"Klipsch Heresy IIIs, based on your music. They are a fun speaker. Enjoy ! MrD."Not a bad suggestion at all.  I have been driving a pair of Klipsch RB-75s for about 4 years with a Yamaha A-S1000 and the combination is wonderful.  ...
Why the facination with integrated amps?
I currently own(CA 640A v2, Yamaha A-S1000) and have owned about 7 other integrated amps(Luxman, Onkyo/Integra, CA, Denon) over the last 12 years. Definitely not a new phenomenon. Some of the best sounding(to me) were 80’s/90’s Denon integrated am...
Thoughts on B&K Reference 7270 Series II - 7 channel Amplifier
I did not know that.  I mean I knew ATI bought them and their inventory but was not aware of the troubles.  My experience with B&K has been the same as yours, durable and reliable.  Too bad about the parts scarcity.Bill
Thoughts on B&K Reference 7270 Series II - 7 channel Amplifier
A 7270, maybe $650.00 to $700.00, the newer 200.7, maybe 800.00 to $900.00.  Both are rock solid amps, built in USA, and powerful.  If ATI still owns them, they will service/repair them.Bill
Yamaha a-s2100 v Luxman L550AX v Accuphase E350
" Of the three I find the Yamaha interesting and more cost effective, but I'm a bit put off by some negative comments on the internet regarding reliability" I have owned my Yamaha A-S1000 for about 4 years and it has been rock solid reliable.  Bu...
Yamaha SACD players
It was fine for packing but Yamaha uses a plain old rigid styrofoam mold which can crumble/crack with hard impact if not protected by double boxing, etc.  Yamaha does double box though.  I bought my CD-S1000 used so it's packaging was worn a bit b...
Yamaha SACD players
I have the CD-S1000 and am more than pleased with it's smoothness, ridiculous 33 lbs build quality, and overall sound quality.  I don't think the transports are exactly the same but if the CD-S2100 is even close to the CD-1000's, then it is specta...
Sub recommendation to augment Klipsch La Scala's ???
I have never owned any but know a few that have, a horn loaded sub should have an easier time integrating with your LaScalas.Maybe something like this if you are a DIY person.https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwoofers/143714-lab12-tapped-horn.html...
Excellent customer service from SVS
SVS has been great to me also.  About 5 years ago I bought a used SB-13 Plus from a guy in Jacksonville FL and about two years later the amp took a dump.  Called SVS and they sent a Fed Ex label and told me to ship amp to them and they repaired an...
