Anyone use CD tweaks

I was wondering about the effectiveness of products hyped to improved sound quality - i.e. products like Maple Shade's "Mikro Smooth" for polishing CDs and their "Optrix" surfactant product. You want to believe these claims, but sometimes they sound too good to be true. Anyone with any experience with these or similar CD enhancers??

Thanks in advance...

A friend uses Shine-Ola, and he brought some over to do an A/B test in my system. For the test, we used two burned copies of each selected CD. One burned disc he treated (but did not tell me which one), and the other he left alone. We tested four selections as I recall, and I identified the treated disc every time.

The sound was louder, more open and with better dynamics. It was a subtle yet obvious difference.
A 1 lb or 2 lb weight of any kind will work just fine on a CD player. Try a dumbell weight, or a diver's weight. If you demand brass, then look for vintage apothecary weights on E-Bay. They look cool, too.
I’m going to place a nice looking brass ornament on top of some sexy hunk of hard wood (on top of my CD player, of course).

Now, that's thinking outside of the box!

Nice.
The Herbie's CD Mat does not work in my Denon 3910. It makes the CD too thick to spin properly.
Human urine wiped off with a lint free microfiber cloth is the only way to go.
