Anyone Using Crystals?

Are any members using crystals in their systems? If so, how are you using them to get good results?

I own a cheap RFI detector. Used mainly for AC power leaks.
I find if I coat small quartz crystals with dielectric grease (like a car motor stuff) Then place the crystals in a baggie and press them down tight, the baggie of crystals totally block RFI from an AC outlet.
If the crystals are left loosely packed, they do NOT block the RFI.
Others use some juice and then have to bake the crystals.. My method with dielelctric grease need no baking.
(though you NEVER want to get dielectric grease in an eye!)

I tried them $100 worth of small various types of white, pink, green, purple brown quartz. I am pretty bored with it though. The result is too small to bother much anymore.
I am just mentioning the blocking effect with packed quartz.
Inside a DAC, on of my favorite topics.
Back long ago in a small column of comments from Europe, A fellow mentioned stuffing digital gear with antistatic foam.
I read it at the time and promptly stuffed my DAC. Better sound, forever.
Anyway I STILL use another better version of that brand of DAC stuffed with foam.
The main thing is keeping the conductive material insulated. As for heat, the DAC is no warmer than before. and is on 24/7
I suppose one COULD use crystals for the same effect. To soak up the stray RFI from the chips, and reducing internal digital grunge.
Even if a stone is not fully conductive, I would keep it OFF live signal lines to be safe. Even a thin piece of Teflon plumbers tape. Or a bit of packing tape stuck to the underside of the stone...
I have been experimenting with refrigerator magnets and small packets of crystals, in combination.
ATOMIC!!!
Danger! Will Robinson, Danger!

After about six maybe seven years some of the packets of treated small crystals are damaged/ small tears on edges and seams. So I replaced all the outer baggies of the packets in the drawer. maybe 15 packets laying around not currently in use.
The latest current addition to some equipment was to place two under the 2 in use CD changers which I stuck the refrigerator magnet pads under. Added a quartz crystal baggie under the transformer area, and one under the main digital chip sets.. on top of the magnet pad. Seems to improve the sound. Adding more crystal baggies did not improve the sound. So I removed those and left just the two I started with.
