ARC LS25 mkII noise level

What are the expectations on the ARC LS25 mkII noise level? Are these units supposed to be dead quiet in the system?

Mine adds considerable noise to the system. I swapped it out with another preamp (solid state) and the difference is quite significant.

Tubes are usually noisier than solid state.
If your ARC pre is bothering you, time for some tube swapping.
I have a ARC SP-15
If you are listening intently from three feet away and worry about the noise. You are not having any problem. Tubes ALWAYS make a little noise.
Anyway if you can't stand the thought that your preamp has a very slight hiss that you have to get right up near the speakers with no music on. The agree tubes are not for you.
Tubes make noise. Good tubes make less noise. Bad tubes make a lot of noise, more than yours are doing.
