Are manufacturers having discussions removed from Audiogon if they turn negative?

I remember a thread was inadvertently deleted by the op. He apologized and said it was in error.  But no recourse, the thread is gone.                                   
So the op of a thread, can, it seems, deep six the entire thread if they so choose.

I can add that individual post in certain ’commercially driven’ ie to sell that product threads, particularly the black goo and the magic bits of paper threads are being controlled by the folks who offer the gizmos for sale. Also the green thread is clearly getting any posts the greeny guy does not like removed. So there IS some sort of added control by a few ’behind the scenes’. The posts removed for obscenities etc by the audiogon staff leave behind the empty spacer, the posts otherwise removed leave no trace. I know quite a number of posts in the magic paper and greeny guys threads were vanished.. The vanished post do seem to be more off target of thread, than not... So??
I wonder what the rules are for gaining control of you threads like that?

It may be one sensible explanation of why the multi thousand post threads of black goo, magic paper and greeny guy are void of anti- comments. Where the typical power cord or interconnect thread 50% are anti.

To mention/ YES there ARE posts being deleted and LEAVE NO EVIDENCE. BUT they seem to be limited to the manufacture threads (such as the black goo and magic paper threads, and the thread by 'green'. Wherein there were/are posts removed without a trace.  recently as yesterday, wherein some guy whined and used a made up word 'phooby dust'. I responded joking phooby dust is a terrible problem etc.... GONE. vanished... and like I wrote, some off topic remain, some vanish. at the whim of?? IMO has to be the honchos of the company who 'control' the thread. Since that particular Magic paper thread was NOT started by them, but a fanboy.)

Never noticed?? Plenty of threads, particularly the 'why power cords, or interconnect' type threads have a lot of small blank spaces between remaining posts where the obscenities and personal insult type posts have been removed. Curiously, if the removed post was the last post.. you can still see that persons name listed s last poster to the thread in your "Threads you have posted to' list. 
The off topic are not generally removed.. unless complained about AND the moderator agrees. There are endless off topic, particularly by Geoff, and enough by myself to know they are left alone in most typical threads. But sometimes NOT in the manufacturer threads I mentioned.. The black goo. magic paper and Green threads. So the Tekton thread may or may not fit into that pattern? Since the whole thread vanished, I would guess it was done by the op of the thread.

Hah! Tekton vanishes again. The thread about waiting six months has again entered The Twilight Zone. After returning, and the master himsef whining about lawsuits... LOL

What about the more likely cause of deleting was bribery. The person was suckered into deleting it on the promise if he did, he would get his speakers. A just as likely scenario.
And we only have a second hand account that the speakers are in shipping soon to be shipped. I would guess the person who started the thread is afraid to say anything yet.. since 20 to 1 they do NOT yet actually have anything besides vaporware promises. Photos and promises mean nothing in this situation.

On the opposite side... When I bought new Magnepan 20.7 Spring of 2018 (local dealer) delivered and set up. Right off a problem, one tweeter not working Friday. Magnepan overnighted at it’s own cost a new tweeter. When it was clear that one was not working on Saturday.. The dealer’s employees brought a third known good tweeter out of a demo pair at the store,and after talking to Magnepan guys, did some tests. Turned out some mis-wiring, and the not working tweeter worked, but only if UPSIDE DOWN!. So Magnepan built a new pair (did take a week) and shipped the new pair. (remember these are 20.7s, not some little box speakers) The store guys set up those, then took away the original pair. All with zero worry and problems for me. I was able to use the problem pair (with the upside down tweeter) to play music until I got the new pair. So my only downside was having to start over breaking in the new pair. But I liked the wood trim figuring on the new pair much more..
And THAT sort of problem resolution is why one buys from a long established company with a proven track record.

I personally promise not to believe any positive report until the op of that thread reports he actually HAS THE SPEAKERS and all is well. Since it only appears the speakers are 'being worked on' with no delivery, being worked on means nothing. They could still be in 'being worked on' in 2023

The mystery of WHY the upside down tweeter in the Magnepan 20.7 will NOT PLAY AS LOUD as the right side up one has never been explained. The fact is, the wiring direction is critical. The original 20.7 speaker tweeter was not playing at all. Though it looked fine. (My total guess is it was seriously damaged when the speakers were being burned in/tested at the Magnepan factory with the wrong way wiring?    (plenty of folks can no longer HEAR a tweeter.. just saying) 
When the second tweeter was over-nighted from magnepan, it was playing, but at a much reduced volume. I told them this is not right. So after discussing it with Magnepan, they brought a third known good tweeter from a floor demo pair. (the 3.7i tweeter and the 20.7 tweeter are identical)After they did some tests, and the good one was also lower volume, THEY TURNED IT UPSIDE DOWN (as a suggestion from the Magnepan factory) and as if by magic. it played normally.   
Why??? I cannot get an answer. The answer given is that tweeter wiring was backwards.. and since I just bought them Magnepan offered, and I wanted, a new pair shipped. rather than send one back to be rewired/repaired.  
So the great mystery of why the tweeter plays much softer upside down (and can apparently be ruined??? NO answer. MY only theoretical guess is the polarity of the magnet structure in the tweeter has something to do with needing to be one way not the other. But exactly why? No answer from Magnepan. The tweeters are clearly marked"" this way UP. ""

As for image.. would depend on if the woofers are at the bottom, as they are on many large speakers?              
For reversed polarity.. With dipoles it is easier to hear, as the reversed polarity image is more behind and larger with a lot more echo/reverb, where with correct polarity the image is in front to between and a little narrower, vocals are crisper I can hear polarity on many recording with the 20.7s. Some a lot more than others though. 
As for finding the 'glass half empty in complaining Magnepan screwed up... I rather look at the facts.. they sent a second tweeter immediately overnight freight, they sent the dealer guys extra times to check them out. They had them bring a third tweeter, they sent brand new giant speakers freight paid as soon as they could make them. (took one week, not one YEAR btw) set up the new ones took the old ones, no bother for me other than being home. If someone thinks that is bad.. PLEASE find some other company you like better. Maybe Tekton???
