Audience Adept Mod

I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone who can modify and older Audience Adept power conditioner for increased performance? Thanks for your input.

Which model you have Walnut?

Contrary to their upgrade pricing for cables, the Audience upgrade prices for power conditioners is not practical at all. At those prices one can simply buy an used one of the more recent models.

I absolutely recommend the TS and TSS models.
If you are going from the non Teflon to the current TSS model, you'll have a jaw dropping experience. Congrats with the upgrade!
Does one get the good value using this PC on the front end only? My amps are across the room.
Dentdog: I have tested many power conditioners (active and passive ones) in my systems and the Audience power conditioners does not limit the dynamics of power amps, YMMV.
I am awaiting my 6tss model and is replacing an Isotek Aquarius which was quite good. I'm hoping to be wowwwwed.......
/Bacardi: if you still like the HiDiamond power cords (I also have the P4 as you may know), you will absolutely love the AR6-TSS. I presume you bought it used (recently on the Gon?) so no burn in needed.
Jazzonthehudson, actually I've bought new on trade and may try the audience cord($1000 cord) that comes with it. I was going to do a HD P3 and get a powercon put on but decided that Audience may be better qualified for the task. Any suggestions?
/Bacardi, if you bought the TS or TSS (new) version, you really need a great power cord. Although the P3 is pretty good and great for its price, the TS or TSS deserves a better one. I suggest either the AU24SE or the NordOst Valhalla 2m (the 1m is not as good as the 2m version) to add speed and resolution to your system which are pretty much HD based. IME, they are excellent but tend to be on the polite side which makes it very palatable to listen to, maybe you could use a bit of sparkle.
Jazzonthehudson, I may get the Au24 with it and it is the latest TSS model (full blown version). Can't wait. Should be with me by Thursday, maybe Friday latest. I am really excited how my plasma will look plugged into it too. I do watch a lot of movies aside from good 2 channel.

Bacardi, the beauty of AR power conditioner is their different outlets (as you may know, each have different value of capacitance, the largest closest to the power in /Neutrik cord) so select one and keep them in as these teflon caps with improved copper leads take at least 300h to burn in. My best experience is put the TV in the middle sockets row. For such an investment, good (and stable due to the power cords tension on the unit) isolation is imperative. I am using a maple block onto a Symposium shelf sits and between it and the conditioner Symposium Rollerblocks (the Jr version is too unstable); Stillpoint Ultra SS is better but you have to be very careful each time you pull a plug.
I should be receiving my unit by Monday. Has anyone tried a powered subwoofer plugged into any of these units? If so, what were the results?
Received my 6tss full blown latest version and out of the box noticed an extremely tight grip on everything. Blacker background, isolation of vocals and instruments, everything is more focussed. As days go on I will post with more hours on the audience.......
Well, I'm sure my audience 6tts(latest edition) has at least a few hundreds hours on it now and all I can say is this Audience conditioner is simply stunning. Increased definition, clarity, solid grip, focus. The palpability of the music is just amazing. The space around and between instruments and singers is isolated and soundstage has grown to a degree. Background is dead silent. Definitely a keeper for my system.
Bacardi: what power cords are you using on your upstream devices? Which ones works best on amps with the aR6-TSS?
