I agree teh AQbattery onlytakes the place of 'break in'. If one has no interest in having cables already broken in from the first moment, then the AQ battery thing has little value.
If you leave your system on 24/7.. and do not mind breaking in your new cables for the first few hours/days/weeks it takes for them to fully 'form the dielectric, then the AQ battery and such are a waste of money.
However if you want your cables to be fresh, enven if you turn off your equipment for months at a time, Then yeah AQ makes a lot of sense..
So it would seem.
