The price difference between the 805s, and the 805d is double! The 805s was $2,500. and the new 805d is $5,000!!!
So those tweets are VERY expensive!
I would bet they cost like $800. each from B&W IF you could get ahould of a pair.
(and then you would still have a bastardizedspeaker, which would not be resellable for anywhere near what you put in.
I would also think they put in a better woofer.. Bye the way.
(I owned 805s and traded them in for my Magnepan 3.6s.also $5,000. I would never have traded in for a pair of 805d at the $5,000 price tag.. )
