Cable Snake Oil Antidote

Some might find this Cable Snake Oil Antidote interesting with respect to LRC, the signal and the system.

Cables affect the sound and the effect is system dependent.

Another's opinion on a cable in a vastly different system may not be valid.

I don't recall any such challenge. What's more, the design of my IEC/switch/fuse/filter module makes that prohibitive. The module grips both the ends of the fuse as well as the glass envelope and it's a very tight fit. There's no reason to believe any part of that fuse is vibrating.
I'll pull the fuse module out and take some pictures when I get home. I'm certain nobody here is using gear with anything like what I've got. The module allows me to fuse either the hot or neutral, or both. I'm real skeptical about fuses because I use very cheap ones from AutoZone. Bussmann brand to be specific. I assume a very cheap fuse would have a lot of variance from one part to another and so far I've gone through 4 and there's been no difference whatsoever. Maybe it's because the module is designed to filter noise from the line rather aggressively. If so, that would support my theory that poorly designed power supplies with inadequate filtering benefit from exotic fuses. What I do know is that it's impossible to inject any kind of noise into the amplifier through the power line and I've tried my best trying to help another member sort out a noise issue.
ieales, the reason phase coherent speakers aren't the order of the day is because the virtues of that strategem haven't acquitted themselves as highly important. Typically speakers that make that a cheif priority make detrimental compromises in some other facet.

Yeah, he did just say that. Could you record your weeping for us? Or better yet, bottle the tears. I've got some fuses I'd like to wash with them. They're Bussmann from AutoZone. You'd love them! They're bi-directional!
@geoffkait
Ha!!!!!!! $2 would be expensive for the ones I use! I pay $2 for 6! And they'll destroy all these directional fuses!
@geoffkait
Awwww! Don't say that! I get awesome sound! My fuse isn't putting DC on the AC lines!
ieasley, it's important, but probably not the most important feature. Lots of speakers have been built with that as a chief priority. Their performance was meh. Even Theil went out of business. Others have made the sole focus of their effort nearly ideal impulse response. Again, uninspiring results. The virtues you speak of are big priorities of mine. That's why I like my Focals. Their phase performance is decent, but there's better. They do imaging very well though.

He's been calling me that forever, and nothing but. Bargain basement creativity at best.
@dlcockrum
Well, regardless, they're gone and nobody has felt a need to fill their niche. B&W gave up on the concept, too. It the bigger scheme of things it doesn't seem to be all that important.

Oh gosh... I can't remember the name of it. I came across it in one of Stereophile's republished online reviews. It was a goofy thing with a stepped baffle and a stand that reminded me of frog legs. You point out some of technical problems with the approach. It's a difficult technical goal with debatable benefits.
