Sorry soix, I must agree with auxinput. Rated sensitivity of the JA RM7 is 86db, however it was measured at 84.5db. That alone makes it unsuitable for a low powered tube amp. The other characteristics are irrelevant. With 8 watts, I would only recommend a sensitivity in the mid 90’s or above.
Efficient bookshelf speakers for my office
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of putting together a simple office system with the Coincident Dynamo II and a pair of standmount speakers. The Dynamo puts out 8 wpc, so I need a pretty efficient pair of speakers. Only looking for bass down to 45HZ or so. Tower speakers won't work due to the office setup. Will sometimes crank it up a bit, but generally looking at listening at 75db or so. Would welcome any recommendations. Prefer a smoother, warmer speaker to a hyper-detailed one.
