Golden Ear Triton 3 vs 3+

I went and DID IT!

My next door said to me I hear your Stereo playing quite often In the evenings. I could tell it sounds better

than our Marantz Home theater 5 Channel. I invited him for a little 2-Hr listening session. A few days later he convinced his wife he need to buy better speakers. But in budget price range was granted.

I told him my son was into audio insanity." Son like Father " He has a budget speaker system

Several years old now/ 5. Sandy Goss Golden Ear Triton3’s. an is happy with them. But wants their new

Triton 3+ much up-graded, more $$ to. My son is willing to sell the old 3’s to the neighbor at price he can afford.

To get his FIX desire for the new 3+ speakers.

Feed back from anyone who as upgraded from the 3’s to 3+...

This is not clear. You did what? Your neighbor wants to buy your son's speakers. What did you do?

Well!  A  person who thought he was perfectly HAPPY with Home Theater quality sound that he had.

He!

Was awaken to real Hi Fidelity after hearing my Wilsons. Just like you and many others who were exposed to Stereo music sound with A DIFFERENCE some where in your life.. "I went and did it".to him.

I have no idea what you did, what you’re doing, and what you’re planning to do.

Alright, I understand now. You got an otherwise normal, ordinary guy interested in perfectionist audio.

Good job!

I think he's asking if there is an audible differences between the Golden Ear Triton 3 and the 3+ to make it worth buying the 3+ and selling the 3's.
I answering the OP question, the answer is no.  Slightly more bass and midrange presence with the 3+ compared to the 3 but not by much. Considering you probably won’t get more than $1200 for the 3, it doesn’t make much sense.  You would be much better off going to the 2+.

Deeper more articulate bass. better dynamic range. bigger overall sound.
Don't the golden ear speakers have A very narrow sweet spot or is there A way to remedy this???
The GE do NOT have a very narrow sweet spot.   a narrow speaker does not make a narrow sweet spot.  My friend and I sat side by side and were both enjoying excellent soundstaging and pin point
