How to change voltage on Thorens TD126 MkIII

I have a 220V Thorens TD126 MKIII I bought while stationed in England in 1980. It's been stored since 1982 when I returned to the US. Now I'm interested in using it again but I don't know how to change the voltage. It has a 50hz/60hz labeled switch under the platter for changing cycles & I wondered if it also changes voltage? The owners manual doesn't mention the switch. Any ideas or service technicians to recommend?

Flip it to 60hz and plug it in.
It will not be hurt if it is still 220v.
It will just not run.

((The reverse. set for 120 and the voltage actually IS 220, will blow it to hell.))
