Integrated for Vandersteen 2ce sigII

A quick question. I'm thinking of purchasing the above said speakers and was wondering what everyone's thoughts are about using my Marantz pm8004 or would a different integrated  amp be a better fit. Thanks

I agree with Oros. The Marantz will be fine. People on Audiogon tend to read too much into this hobby. I've been into audio since the 70's I've heard great systems built around vintage receivers, old tube amps, Marantz 8004s:)  No worries go listen and have fun!
Interesting. The Ryan starts to roll off at 80 hertz(Tone review) and obliterates the Vandy 2? Bass is not everything but to get some semblance of real music you do need a little. It's easy to make something sound good when you subtract a third of what makes up the whole picture. The R610s are 1999.00 The Vandy 1Cs (1295.00) go a good deal deeper in the bass which presents the music in a much more complete manner. "Musical" when you subtract a third of the complete picture. Ryan R620 40 hertz better but still nowhere near the honest 29 hertz you get from the Vandy 2. 500.00 more than the Vandy 2. I'll stick with Vandersteen.
