Light switch and amp

I have old Exposure XV Super. On one paticular listening session later at night 1100 pm the amp just seemed super sensitive. To the point I could here a small nosie when I turned the light switch on and off in the room through the speakers.

This is has only happen once since I got the amp a month ago. What causes this effect? In this same session the amp was creating a huge sound stage. It almost sounded if the sound was coming from the wall and ceiling behind the speakers.

I have yet to get this affect again. It was really nice and I have not been able to recreate it. Any thoughts?

Thank You

Agree your amp seems very sensitive to the power being fed to it.
Some type of power conditioner might help.
The whole power conditioner thing is a 'can of worms' though.. so do some research before jumping for one.
Power conditioners all have different effects on different systems...
So no one item fits all can apply. A conditioner which works great in one system could totally suck in another.
One inexpensive part you can upgrade would be the wall outlet.
If it is not a new one already, buy a heavy duty Pass & Seymout 20 amp duplex recepticle from Menards and put it in the wall you drea power for your stereo from.
$3 or so. wel lworth doing.
If you want to go further.. buy one of the "Porter Ports' from Audiogon. they cost about $35 and would also be worth the cost. Or an Acme silver plated.. Also $35.
