Low price, quality cables for avalon ,CAT, shindo

That's funny. More than a few Frank Lloyd Wright clients did just that because his furniture was notoriously uncomfortable...but it did look nice in his buildings.

It's kind of like buying a Ferrari and putting General tires on it. I suppose it does happen though.

I am strongly considering putting General Exclaim UHP tires on my BMW 330i Sport. The tires get great ratings/reviews, and they cost half of the stock Bridgestone tires. However, as you say, I would not install them on a Ferrari.

I completely understood your Wright analogy. I just find it fascinating that so many Wright clients hated his furniture are replaced it, much to his disdain.
