New Tweak --- Its Fantastic

THE NEW TWEAK

Over the good part of this past year I’ve been beta testing a new tweak, the name of which is "Total Contact." Its a hi-bred graphene contact enhancer that is different from all other contact enhancers that have come and gone for one reason or another. I’m not new to these contact enhancers, having had quite a bit of experience with a product developed by the late Brian Kyle and his "Quick Silver" contact enhancer. The "Total Contact" is different ... a LOT different.

"Total Contact" is graphene based and is not a vibration control. It eliminates micro-arching between two contacts. Micro-arching, much like Micro-vibration smears the sound in our stereo systems. Its the type of distortion that we don’t know is there .... until we eliminate it. There is no break-in as we know it. The sound is improved right off the bat, but what you hear is only a smidgen of what’s to come.

I tested three generations of "TC," each of which was an improvement over the previous incarnation. The final mix was cryogenitically treated and made for a more effective, much smoother application. It comes in a large hypodermic needle type plunger containing 1.5 ml of product and includes a instructional DVD and an application brush.

The application should be applied with a very thin coat to all of your electrical connections .... from your cartridge pins to your power cords. I did my entire system, including the ends of my fuses.

Upon initial application, you will notice an improvement in clarity, correctness of tonal balance and a more overall organic sound. But ... that is just scratching the surface of what this magic paste does. As it cures, the improvements become more apparent. Much more!

There are two real break-through events that happen almost to the day with "Total Contact," one at four weeks and another at eight weeks . At four weeks, you’ll get a real jump in clarity and overall improvement. That’s only a taste though of what’s to come at eight weeks. At eight weeks your system’s focus will make a jump in SQ that is so real - its surreal.

After 40 years in the hobby, and a total tweak nut, I have never heard anything that does what this graphene paste does. The see-through clarity at eight weeks becomes simply amazing. The "paste" eventually cures into a kind of polymer plastic and it seems that the sound improves with each listening session. So, its important that you leave your contacts alone for the duration. If you’re the type of person that continually switches wires in and out, you’ll have to re paste until enough time has elapsed to get "the cure."

The only problem I had was with the first batch and that had to do with shorting out a tube pin in the line stage. Use the "TC" very sparingly on tube pins, if at all. I only had problems with the line stage tube pins. The Amp, CD Player and Phono Stage has had no tube pin problems at all.

Tim Mrock, one of our fellow A’goners, is the developer of the product. Its taken Tim 15 years and several patents to get it right. Tim has "pasted" every electrical contact he can find in his audio system, all of the switches in his circuit breaker box, every contact in his car ... and has used it in commercial applications such as hospital circuit breakers, surgical lights ... and other places where efficiency and long life of electrical components are deemed important.

This product is highly recommended to anyone who truly wants to get the most out of his/her audio systems. There’s enough product in each tube to do at least two audio systems as it just takes a very thin coat on each application to be effective. The last tube was enough to do my system twice and then a friend’s system this past weekend.

PS: There were a couple of other A’goner beta testers of this product as well. Hopefully, they will chime in here with their experiences for comparison. I "pasted" both of Steve Fleschler’s systems a few days ago, perhaps he will comment on his results too. We forgot to paste Steve’s power cords though, so there’s a lot more to be had from Steve’s two fantastic systems.

Wading through the BS is all the fun! If it were all one way or the other, no one would be reading it at all (except maybe the 57 folks who need to pat themselves on the back?)The stuff may work great, but since there aren’t any free samples.. (Are there free samples? Ever hear of 'priming the pump'.) Or how about a shoot out with Furutechs juice and Siltech’s rub.Anyway, keep up the typing. Us retired folks with nothing better to do.. Gives us a meaning in life.
Yo know what is funny about this. The product is invisible on Google. The ONLY product that shows up Googling graphene and contact enhancer or even the exact words "Total Contact": is the Mad Scientist Audio. Who sells graphene contact enhancer for $25 2ml$49 4ml ....And since that site has folks with different names than TimMrock.   So no wonder no one is buying this product. you can’t FIND IT. LOL   Now if this product IS the same Mad Scientist, then I apologize. And I will probably will try some. If not, somebody please get your sh... together.
Whoops, found it.""https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis9049g-perfect-path-technologies-total-contact-electrical-contac.....Gee only $299. I guess the magic is in the price. Apparently Mad Scientist can manage to sell it for $25 and all the way from New Zealand.Maybe our graphene is like better than that down under? Must be the reason, can't be greed? noooo.
I agree. The praise is way too far ’over the top’. Reminds me of the old ’Traveling Medicine Show" Where a weak, curled up ’at death’s door’ poor guy drinks the "Miracle Cure" and is suddenly dancing., claiming now he is totally alive for the first time in years.
Gee. suspicious? yes.
And I just spent $7000 to clear up a bit of digital glare, and I GUARANTEE this stuff cannot do it. that is total hogash PT Barnum stuff. If this product was actually making the system clearer, the glare would be just that much more. So I call HOKUM. maybe the stuff is glazing over everything like a blanket? then OK no more glare to be heard. LOL It ain’t changing how the DAC converts the data.
Seems like the only person calling troll is grannyring. Name calling starts when you already lost your case.
I like the "tears apart the very fabric.. etc".. great speechifying.
Geesh dude, you should be a politician.
And no one here is a troll. we are just as honest genuine audiophiles as you are. So get off the high horse. When the praise turns into nonsense, someone has to say enough.
I am certain the product does some good. Certain. But the endless perfection heaped on it? most likely not.
Well, when the claim was that it removed digital grunge.. I think that was the ’takes the cake’ moment. Since digital grunge arises inside the DAC chip. I would have to ponder a lot more mysterious means of a contact product managing that one. As I wrote, I could certainly understand if the digital grunge became more clearly focused. but the claim it was REMOVED becomes stuff of legend. Really.
As I also wrote I just spent $7000 For a Marantz SA-10 to get better CD sound. And oddly a few CDs sound WORSE. Which for all my praise of the SA-10, I was mystified. But I think those CDs just have some flaw, perhaps lower than 16bit recording was used.(One thing I have not done is play those ON THE SA-10 drive, the problem is only via Toslink from a 5 disc changer, so far I have put them aside to test them IN the Marantz own drive Two I remember are :Denon label Music of the impressionists, and Santana first album) So of hundreds of CDs I have played, three so far, seem to be worse.in some odd way, ) Now THAT is being honest. The Marantz is fantastic, but still there are a few problems. HONEST. not gushing endless praise.
(the next sentence is in friendly humor ONLY: I am surprised you are not claiming the graphene tweak does your dishes, and makes wonderful dinners out of leftovers. Polishes your shoes too.)
amg56. What happens when a set of posts really is and becomes a major advertisement. The pressure on the 'praise' parties is enormous. They are together and want the product to succeed.     Anyone criticizing is anathema and MUST be silenced for the posts to continue. naturally the bunch of folks praising the product take turns.
The closest thing to this thread currently are threads on the goN' that have been hijacked to praise particular small builder DAC products. thousands of posts, and a long stream of them always coming back to praise the targeted products.
One sort that used to exist years back was the KAB Technics TT mod crowd. Same sort of systematic praise, any post at all asking "what turntable to buy" Kaboom a KAB fanboy would start in.
So the phenomenon is nothing new And can easily be see in the fact that the product is 'all good', 'perfect', and 'wonderful'. thousands of 'normal threads have folks liking a product a lot. but then others say no, or what about xxx? and a dialog develops. That is a normal thread. Here, the praise goes on and on. The naysayers are totally attacked as much as possible without getting too nasty? But the same few folks will repost praise again, an again. This is the basis for really saying this thread IS a advertisement.    And should be greeted with a great deal of suspicion. MY one point being a FAR cheaper product with the same graphene etc is $29 from another source. NOT ONE of the folks praising the $299 product tried the other, or mentioned the other as being a cheap alternative. (and trust me, in a real, actual normal thread, someone would have before 43 pages go by.
So I call this thread a product of a marketing scheme.
To make it clear, I have never said the product is not interesting and probably this SORT of product is worthy of further study by the interested audiophile. That there is an alternative should be good news to anyone, even the person marketing this product. And it means there is more than one pot in the game. Let the best one win, and if the lesser is also cheaper, then a larger market opens up, as folks try the cheap one, like it, and think maybe the more expensive one does more, and buy that. Or , they can be satisfied with what the got earlier, and perhaps a few years on, they opt for the pricier kind.
What I find problematic is the way this has been praised. and the sort of odd attempt to strengthen the basic premise that THIS product is spectacular beyond measure. The serious insults from the pro product camp, then recent countermeasures, which have clearly had an effect, to the point the personal insults stopped! Hmmm New tactic.
Now it is an attack on skepticism. (perhaps they think I am a good debater? and wisely turn to new ways to diminish the attack on a new front?)..
The funny thing is I AM NO DIE HARD SKEPTIC. I agree the product most likely does some good. LOL And the price? Is it comparable to the competition? ten times the price? Those are questions I would ask. SO what am I complaining about? "The praise" Unusual and overly managed.
Now back in the early days of the first Pangea powercords, I went crazy and said these things are GREAT!, many times. Ohers said they are crap. Did I get all hot and bothered? No. Who cares???THAT IS WHY THIS THREAD IS WRONG. Nearly everyone praising this stuff just cannot seem to stand any criticism. And that is weird, really weird. So I decided to say something.
Clearly others have said things and been "worked over" as amg56 can attest. So it i not easy to stand and say this is wrong. If the guys who seem to love this stuff can just get over thinking it IS the Second Coming.. And the need to defend it to the death...
My perspective is that is exactly why something is screwy about this thread. Good luck.
For those wishing to continue with the grinding out of this thread, be my guest. I said what I thought, beyond that it becomes repetitive and boring, and I have no axe to grind here. So adios amigos.
oregonpapa, who started this thread sez: "" How can your negative responses toward a product that you haven’t tried, let alone even seen, be "honest" and/or "genuine?" ""

If you read my posts, you will discover I never tried to discredit the product. I discredited the annoying over enthusiastic claims being made by apparently hypnotized audiophiles on a thread designed to sell product.
So if you think I walked away and you can disparage me,..You are wrong. I suggest you skip the attacks on me and what I said unless you want me to continue.. for say the next two years? on this thread making it clear that some folks are not so easily bamboozled . I am retired, and have all day every day to just be as annoying as you are. So it is your choice, O. And the same goes for the rest of your ’team’ of ’enthusiasts’..BTW oregonpapa, you can start by apologizing for insinuating I am not 'honest' or 'genuine' for starters.
I like free  (or nearly free) tweaks which are similar to the kind folks pay a lot for.
My 'isolation devices' are #10 butyl rubber chemical bottle stoppers. $1.25 each. I have a hundred of them.. everywhere.
I use ProGold. one bottle, then $20 has lasted me 20 years.
Ditto Last Stylast stylus conditioner. One bottle lasts for 10 years easy
Back in?? (maybe 1990?)I bought a box of 100 little packets of AQ CD polish. Still have some packets left. and have polished 3,000 CDs so far, most over again, and a early on, a good stack of their cases polished with the stuff, $25.
