Received your Magnepan 30.7’s Yet

I would guess most 30.7 are going to Asia.  
Just a guess.  I recently bought 20.7 to replace my 3.6 Maggies.So I 'could' comment. However I have not had the pleasure of hearing the 30.7  And I could not fit them into my apartment anyway.My 20,7 are a lot better than my 3.6

Right now I still am using the Bryston 4B_SST² I bought with the 3.6 Maggies. Currently I am upgrading powercords and duplex outlets. My Current Bryston is doing a fine. job. As is the Bryston BP-26 preamp.Some folks dismiss Bryston.. Not me.

I listened to the GT Audio Works speakers faxer is bragging about., They sound like two people playing a pair of comb and tissue paper kazoos. Badly. Frequency response is actually not terrible if you like the huge suckout all through the midrange. Then the giant boom of the thumping lump they call bass. Remember those modern Fire alarms that drive you out with the screech. Treble.. same as on the GTs. White Van speakers have them beat by a mile. But if you came here to read about Magnepan 30.7s, don’t pay me any mind.

I received a pm asking if I got my 30.7s yet. No.... I am (most likely) never going to be able to afford 30.7s  Plus they would never ever fit in my 11'8" wide living room. the 20.7s are OK here, but the bigger footprint of the 30.7s??? no way. 
Sorry. I JUST BOUGHT my 20.7s this Spring! And I am still paying off the refinancing on my car i used to partially pay for them. (and the Marantz SA-10 I bought right after the 20.7s.)So no, I did not get my 30.7s yet.

Error on my part noted. My ’review of "Gt Audio Works speakers was a total and complete fabrication designed to thwart the person who decided to dump on a Magnepan thread.The builder of said speakers has commented about the person being asked not to do said thing again. and so I should also apologize for my nasty remarks which were completely fabricated and untrue.

I now agree. the person hijacked the Magnepan 30.7 thread to prop up his favorite speaker. So I 'retaliated' and dissed his fav. on a thread for Magnepan. That my insult might 'harm' the small speaker maker was not in my thoughts at the time, but later, I realized it was not right. Particularly since the speaker manufacturer told the guy who posted about the other speakers in the Magnepan thread to' Knock it off:. So I apologize for dumping on the speaker. If you want me to wear a hair shirt, no. All in all it was what it was. But I am certain some folks who just love to rub it in, will continue to attempt to punish me at every available opportunity.Trying to knock people 'off their high horse' is a popular pastime.
