Someone please "(do) get me started"

Been a Ray Charles music lover, my problem is I’ve always held off buying his lps out of (where to start).

So can anyone here point me in the right direction regarding a good starting point and keeping in mind great pressings and sonics. Mono/Stereo I love both.

Thanks!

@slaw, Analog Productions has a bunch of great Ray Charles titles. Look at them on the Elusive Disc website.
Thanks. I'm looking for those of you who have the love and experience with his output for recommendations.
Most of his albums are available on Spotify. I’ll be exploring many of them in the very near future.

He experimented with various music genres so its hard to say where any particular person with particular interests should start but an easy approach is read up on him and follow the recommendations for his albums at allmusic.com.  That is where I am at with Ray Charles currently.

Two releases I do have and can recommend are  Genius + Soul=Jazz and of course  Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music, Vol. 1 & 2
Thanks @mapman ,

I was surprised at other posters lack of recommendations.
Well that wasn't too hard, Was it?
For my taste there is about a dozen of great songs scattered throughout his albums, so I never actually bought any of them yet.
